Has anyone else taken a “scattered” path?

I started with URL shorteners and CPA, then moved into YouTube, affiliate marketing, and SEO blogging.
I went through the ups and downs of crypto, took risks with gambling, worked as a freelancer, and even got into e-commerce.

Now I’m trying to use all these experiences to build a local service platform in a different way.

After jumping between all these things and others, you notice something:
You end up knowing a bit about everything… and you start seeing patterns and shortcuts that someone in just one niche might miss.

So I’m curious:

* What’s the most random skill or field you learned that helped you later in a completely different business?
* Do you feel like being a generalist gives you an edge when solving problems?

Especially if you’re from a developing country, you end up doing everything on your own.

You don’t always have the option to hire people, so you learn by necessity.
You become the designer, the video editor, the marketer, sometimes even the developer… all at once.

Not because you planned it that way, but because every step in your journey required it.

people underestimate how valuable a “scattered” path becomes later on

someone who only did SEO sees SEO problems
someone who touched sales, content, crypto, automation, design, communities, etc starts seeing systems instead of isolated tasks

a lot of the biggest advantages come from weird combinations of skills, not mastery of one thing

Rich people have certain interests that have either an absurdity barrier or a cost barrier. Be interesting, be different, have something that makes you, you and seperates, and you'll have a leg up.

That with the ability to research well these days, actually talk to people and connect, and understand them and their network, you'll win more.

I went from swinging and getting first, second, third base hits to getting way more "home runs" naturally by the quality improvement of what I spent my time on and who with.

I've met exceptional people with every head start imaginable who could never crack outside of corporate because they were tauught a certain way to think, a certain structure, and yet they ended up trying to repeat the processes without none of the social or poltiical benefits or structural then were confused why they weren't who they thought they were.

You can't put a fencer in a knife fight.
