Still Works. Activating Wi-Fi Calling for SMS, OTP code or etc. , first update your 911 emergency adress where your VPN adress is. From Tello website, My Tello < Dashboard < My Settings < Wi-Fi Calling .
Second, e-sim activating on your phone, taking 20-30 minutes. If you're outside of US, connect your local Wi-Fi, turn on VPN which is must be exactly match your 911 emergency adress. It works well for me today.

2-Since TikTok only takes the country code from the SIM information, would using any free or paid eSIM be acceptable?

You need to buy a second hand usa smartphone or iphone. Any smartphone or tablet has a gps (or something similar) installed, right? And this thing, gps or whatever the name is today, has the location of your country where you live, where you bought that phone.
USA smartphone gps has USA location installed,
China phones gps= china is installed
EU phones gps= EU is installed

I hope you know get the idea, use a vpn here will not help you. Use a second buy US phone with US simcard or esim (only the newer exypensive phones have that feature)

Sorry for my double post here. Yes it is. Buy a second hand US phone (ebay) and a US data card with US phone number , use this phone+ card only for Tiktok and you will see the difference. Use here this US phone as mobile hotspot, with your PC Dektop, not your router in your country. Toggle off the router for the time you work on PC with your US phone and tiktok. At this time only word on Desktop PC with your US phone mobile hotspot take, set all other wifi devices aou have off with your router too.

Then you should be fine to get into tiktok USA. US e-sim card only works in newer phone models (cost more) I don't think in germany that I can verify with my ID an US data simcard here in the post office to activate the US phone number.

Costs money $200-250 US phone + 30-50GB data e-sim card is it worth to invest that money to get into tiktok US audience ?
When you make youtube shorts then promote them on instagram + twitter should be good enough.

Hey everybody, I was away for 2 months due to personal reasons but now I'm back with a small gift for yall.
99% of you want to target USA on Tiktok. To do so, as we all know a SIM is pretty much mandatory. Now a lot of people either don't want to pay that much for a SIM card or they don't want to wait for delivery (in some parts of the world it can take 2 weeks to deliver a package from the USA).
Well you can pretty much skip the wait by using a US eSIM. Most of you guys probably already tried all the eSIMs you could find on Google like Holafly, Airalo etc. I did that too but guess what, those SIMs even tho they said they are "US eSIMs" still had country codes from Europe and I was hitting only French, Dutch or British For Yous.
Then I found out that the problem is that these eSIMs didn't have a US number binded to them because they were all DATA eSims not VOICE eSims.

Anyway, you can use Tello.com to get a US eSIM along with a US number, make sure you select this plan with No data and 100 minutes because it costs only 5$
Don't worry about the 5$/month plan, you can just cancel the plan and your eSIM will still be installed on your phone, Tiktok doesn't care that your plan expired or is canceled.

Also if you have an iPhone, when you factory reset it, Apple will give you the choice to save the eSIM, so basically it will still be installed even after you factory reset. I don't know if this function exists on Android but if you factory reset it you can generate a new QR code for the eSIM installation in your Tello dashboard.

Another alternative is https://www.usmobile.com/ where they offer a trial but the site is a bit bugged at the part where they check your IMEI, it's gonna say a couple of times that your phone is not supported, just keep trying till it works or use https://www.fakepersongenerator.com/imei-generator#imei-apple to get some random IMEIs (some work some don't just keep trying)
