Is there any Topical Map Creation Tool Out there?

every major SEO tool can probably create content briefs, Semrush and Ahrefs can do it, I've even seen Keysearch capable of doing this, and this was at least 2-3 years ago, I'd wager that today Keysearch is even better given the constant updates they used to implement 3 years ago.

And - as always - the content optimization tools (Surfer SEO, Frase, etc) can also do this too, and probably many of the big AI writing (or whatever they're called nowadays) tools like Scalenut, NeuronWriter, etc. can create those too...

As for topical map generators a simple google search will find dozens of them :)

Here are a few that I found with 1 quick search:

https://fatjoe.com/tools/topical-map-generator/
https://askoptimo.com/tools/topical-map-generator
https://growthack.io/tools/topical-map-generator/

I tried the 1st tool (fatjoe) and it does do the job well, I tested it with a micro niche that I used to work with 5 years ago and it created a great topical map of that niche, so you can use that one if you don't trust / can't find other tools.

Or you can google for "topical map creator" (that's what I typed to find this)... or I think it will also work for "free keyword clustering tool", I think they're the same thing anyway...

Fatjoe just do the normal clustering, this cannot able to build the relation between the nodes, even not aware of cannibalization error. And rest of the things

From LinkedIn post I found a tool recently. Can you take a look and share your opinion? I am confused though.

cannibalization happens if 2+ of your pages target keywords with identical or very similar intent, in the test that I ran with Fatjoe's generator (in a niche that I used to be in) it created a good topical map... Ok, not a map, per se, but I thought that you wanted to get ideas about which topics to cover and how to structure them, and for this the free tools that I've listed are good. At least they worked for me :)

If you need in-depth graphs you will probably need to use paid tools. There are still people offering Semrush accounts in the marketplace, try to buy one of those accounts for like $10-20 and this should give you enough time (2 weeks access to the Guru plan I believe, at this price) to make comprehensive maps with content briefs and everything else you might need...

they want $199 for access, and I'm not doing that. If you have a free tool that you want me to check I'll be happy to, but paid ones nope :)

I just want to know that did you here about the tool or not.

yes tools exist now but none are perfect you still need to manually refine topics and intent after generation

Yeah, a few people usually combine tools rather than relying on just one. Something like Frase, SurferSEO, or MarketMuse can help with topical mapping and briefs, and InLinks is also solid for building semantic structures around a topic.

Yeah, there are a few tools doing this now.

Tools like Keywordly, TopicalMap AI, and Floyi can automatically build topical maps and even generate content briefs based on SERP data and search intent. ()

Also, tools like Surfer SEO or MarketMuse help with content briefs and clustering, but they’re not full “auto map” systems. ()

From experience, they’re useful for saving time, but you still need to review and adjust manually — AI maps are a good starting point, not final strategy.

What I've seen is that even with the best tools, you still need a solid understanding of your niche to create a really effective topical map. Tools like Frase or SurferSEO can definitely help with content briefs and outlining, but it's the manual refinement that makes all the difference. I've used a combination of tools in the past, including InLinks for building out semantic structures, and it's helped a lot on several sites. The key is finding the right mix of tools that work for your specific niche and needs, and then putting in the time to manually refine and adjust as needed. It's not just about slapping together a map and calling it a day, it's about creating a solid foundation for your content that actually resonates with your audience.

The tools you have mentioned provide keyword clustering not topical map.

There are tools for this but none are perfect so you still need to clean the map yourself. Most people use keyword tools and then build clusters manually because auto maps miss intent a lot. AI can help speed it up but do not trust it fully.

That's why i build a tool for this. No bluff, topical map with semantic relation. Even a newbie can use this. I know this is kind of promotional tone but I have done it. 58 users already tried it and 100% satisfaction. Most of them are completed koray course successfully.

Surprised no one mentioned Claude or ChatGPT yet

People still mix this up

Keyword clusters ≠ Topical map.

A keyword cluster is just a group of similar search terms. It shows what people search. That’s it.

A topical map is the full plan. It shows what to cover, in what order, and why. It connects topics, entities, and intent into one clear structure.

If you only build clusters, you collect keywords.

If you build a topical map, you build authority.

That’s the difference most people miss.
