I see the same thing every week . While the weekdays can get boring and long at times , the weekend seems to go by so quickly . When friday night comes around , it feels like sunday night all over again . Part of it is how you think , I think . People often look at the time , wait for breaks , and count down the days until the weekend during the week . That might make days at work seem longer . We usually have more free time on the weekends to do things we enjoy , relax , or catch up with family and friends . Time seems to go faster when we are having fun . One more reason could be that weekends have too many plans . In two days , we want to rest , get things done , meet new people , finish our chores , and have fun . Being under that much stress can make them feel even shorter . I sometimes wonder if the answer is to plan weekends less and just enjoy them more .

Do other people feel the same way ? Or have you discovered a better way to enjoy the weekend longer and more fully ?

Weekends feel faster because your brain is in “enjoy mode,” not tracking time as closely less routine, more novelty.

Also, without structured schedules, time blurs together, so it feels shorter even if it’s the same 48 hours.

because you enjoy them more and feel less routine so your brain does not track time the same way and they feel shorter than busy weekdays

Sunday afternoon is basically gone the moment you start thinking about Monday. Mentally you're already in work mode and the actual free time left doesn't register as weekend anymore. That probably accounts for a few hours right there.

We need a 3 day weekend now. 2 days are not enough lol :D

We have been preaching this for years now : D
If we have to change Friday to Sriday so it rhymes with the other S days, then so be it

The big 3S - Sriday, Saturday, Sunday

Might as well add a Shursday. :D

As they say, time is relative. It seems to pass more quickly when we’re having fun and since weekends are usually when we do that, they often feel much shorter.

weekends are for rest and enjoy , enjoy like going outdoor. makes you feel better , don't let your task stay pending for weekends, do them in working days as they are already working days ;)

For me its opposite... they are so slow, depends how u make them.

when we feel fun happy interesting cant feel the time run.
But weekdays somehow feel routine work and gets bored.

weekends usually be very commited with family and we watch movies we never see out clock is running faster. like Wi-Fi bars they disappear much faster than they arrive

Time in general is moving faster than usual, but who complains about Mondays ??

I honestly feel like time isn't moving at the pace it did 20 years ago when I was a kid... Even just before 2020 I didn't notice this but now Everytime I look up it's Friday
