Hi, I'm thinking about buying instagram followers to make my brand look more professional but does buying followers kills the algorithm ? Like if I buy followers does my posts will show up to the bots or other non targeted people instead of my target audience?

Buying followers isn't bad by itself if you want to use it by a vanity metric, but it can screw your reels reach because the fake followers would be bots. Therefore bots don't watch reels = the IG algo will see that your content doesn't get watched by your audience = you will have limited reels reach.

Completely agree with the answer already provided by Nikolaos, it is a very important detail about the reels. I just wanted to add that it can be great if you find a supplier that provides both the followers and some deal with reel watchtime from those same follower accounts, but you will probably have to search around to find the right supplier. This is really the only method that I can endorse if you are serious about accelerating your account/brand. The same goes for YouTube and TikTok.

It depends how many followers you add. 300-500 followers is fine, however if you add to many at once, then it might.

No, on the contrary, buying followers gives credibility and trust to the buyer, and you can target followers from your country.

It depends on your goal. Buying followers won’t “break” the algorithm directly, but it usually hurts performance because those followers don’t engage. So your engagement rate drops, and that can make your content less likely to be pushed to real users. Also, most of those followers are either inactive or irrelevant, so you’re basically inflating numbers without building a real audience. If your goal is a strong, loyal community, it usually does more harm than good in the long run.

That’s true if you’re buying low-quality or completely inactive followers. In my experience, the quality of the service matters much more than simply the follower count itself.

I’ve used SMMGOAL, and one thing I liked is that they offer trial services, so you can test before committing. They also have 24/7 support and a lifetime guarantee on eligible services. Of course, followers alone won’t build a loyal community—good content is still the most important factor—but social proof can help make a profile look more established, especially for newer brands.
