Finaly nicenic give me the transfer code to transfer my domain to another registrar thanks guys for you support
Hi larteau20, thank you for confirming that the transfer code was provided.
We understand the process caused frustration, especially when a domain status change is involved. Even during an abuse review, the customer should still receive clearer status updates and available next steps. We will continue improving that part.
Just to clarify for readers: NiceNIC does not place a domain on hold simply because someone sends a vague complaint or an AI-written message. Domain-level action should be based on reviewable evidence, case context, and compliance review.
Classic registrar behavior. It's cheaper to 'suspend first, investigate later'. Hoping it does get resolved soon......
We understand the concern, but “suspend first, investigate later” is not the standard NiceNIC wants to follow.
As an ICANN-accredited registrar, NiceNIC has to review abuse reports reasonably and promptly. If there is actionable evidence of DNS Abuse, a registrar may need to take timely mitigation action. But the action should still be proportionate and based on the case context.
ClientHold is one possible mitigation way, not the only one. In some cases, notification, cleanup, additional evidence review, or escalation may be more appropriate. The goal should be to protect users from real abuse while avoiding unnecessary collateral damage to legitimate domain holders.
This is truly amazing as I am in the same situation with NiceNIC and it happened this morning. The interesting fact is that the customer complained to
@nicenic of not receiving refund when he never even requested one on our website. He soon recognized that he was wrong and applied for refund, he was refunded. Nicenic suspends our domain 24 hours later on the same issue, resolved and completed. This is very wrong! and here was I giving 5 stars on trustpilot a while ago when i got their email prompt. so sad they are now asking me to request review
Hi blackhatfixes, thank you for sharing your case.
A refund dispute by itself is not the same as DNS Abuse. If your domain status changed after a report, the case may involve other information, or it may need to be reviewed again based on your latest evidence.
We cannot review or discuss a specific domain case in a public forum. Please update the related NiceNIC ticket with the domain name, case number, refund proof, and any evidence showing the issue was already resolved. Our team can review the actual case record and provide the next available step.
