Quora, Reddit, Pinterest, Snapchat, Twitter Ads – Experiences?

From my experience, Quora usually works better when the landing page is very simple and directly matches the question intent if there is a mismatch, conversion drops fast.

Are you using advertorial style pages on quora or direct landing pages? Curious what converted better for you.

Reddit and Twitter work for small, niche tests but do notscale well. Quora converts with educational content, Pinterest is great for visual discovery offers, and Snapchat performs best with short, mobile-first videos. Each platform needs its own funnel do not reuse Facebook setups.

Hey everyone,
I’ve mainly run CB nutra offers on YouTube and Facebook, but I’m exploring other traffic sources now. Looking into Reddit, Twitter, and Quora first, with Pinterest and Snapchat on my mind later.

From my tests:
  • Reddit & Twitter: mostly bot traffic, cheap CPMs/CPCs, but didn’t convert well.
  • Quora: traffic seemed real, but landing pages didn’t convert.

Currently testing Quora with sweeps, thinking it might appeal to a broader audience than niche stuff like weight loss. Treating it similar to Facebook, but maybe that’s a mistake.
Anyone else testing these platforms? Tips, tricks, or experience with actual converting campaigns? Curious if I should double down on Quora, retry Twitter differently, or move to Pinterest/Snapchat where people seem to be killing it.
Quora works if your offer fits the audience, Reddit and Twitter mostly waste clicks, Pinterest and Snapchat need visuals but can convert well.

Quora gives the most real high-intent traffic but needs strong prelander, while Reddit/Twitter are mostly bot-heavy and low conversion, and Pinterest/Snapchat perform better for visual/native creatives with proper funnel.

Each one has a different type of traffic Reddit and Quora can bring higher intent users Pinterest is good for evergreen clicks Snapchat can work for younger audience and X ads are hit ormiss The offer and landing page matter more tha the platform itself

Honestly, if the traffic from Quora feels real but still isn’t converting, I’d take a closer look at the funnel before moving on to another platform. Sometimes it’s not the traffic source it’s the landing page, offer, or audience match. A few small tweaks there can make a bigger difference than switching platforms. Definitely worth testing before giving up on Quora.

Quora traffic usually feels more intent-based than Twitter or Reddit because users are already reading questions and looking for solutions. but treating it exactly like Facebook may not work, since users there are more research-minded and less impulse driven.

The Facebook comparison is whats tripping you up imo. Quora users aren't scrolling to kill time, they clicked into a question because they got a specific problem they're trying to solve. So when your sweeps lander hits them with the usual aggressive direct response stuff it feels off and they bounce.

@fabiana74 nailed it really, the offer has to feel like part of the answer. Advertorial all the way, longer than you think it needs to be.

Also why sweeps on Quora? That platform skews more research minded so I'd expect your nutra angle to actually do better there if you build a proper prelander around it. Sweeps is more of a Snapchat/Pinterest play to me.

And yeah @unknown is right, tiktok's missing here. Cheap traffic right now if you can get creatives that don't scream ad.

Quora is one of those sources where the keyword/question selection matters more than the ad itself imo. If you buy broad topics you get readers, not buyers. I’d split campaigns by question intent, like “how to fix X” / “best supplement for X” type pages can take nutra advertorials, but random health interest traffic will just read and leave. Also don’t judge it with FB landers, use a softer bridge and push the offer after they’ve already nodded along a bit.

For sweeps I’d probably not burn too much Quora budget unless payout is good and flow is dead simple. Pinterest/Snap is where that impulse stuff makes more sense, especially with ugly native-ish creatives, not polished ad creatives. Twitter only ever worked for me with whitelists and tight device/geo filtering, otherwise yeah... bot soup.

I wouldn’t write off X/Twitter totally, but buying it broad is usually just paying for noise. Had better luck only after cutting hard by device/geo, excluding junk placements, and building tiny whitelists from converting clicks... otherwise the stats look nice and backend is dead.

@BidHorizon for Quora I’d test nutra before sweeps tbh. Not with a FB style lander though, more like “problem > mistaken causes > what people try > soft product mention” type prelander. Sweeps feels too random for Quora unless the question intent is super broad and the submit flow is stupid simple. Pinterest/Snap are probably where I’d push sweeps first, Quora is more patience and intent matching than volume.

One thing nobody's really touched on... before you write off Quora make sure your tracking is even firing right. Traffic that feels real but "doesnt convert" is sometimes just a broken postback or the lander dropping the click id somewhere. Seen that burn people more than once, they swap platforms when the issue was attribution the whole time.

Other than that, your kinda mixing two different mindsets. Sweeps wants impulse, nutra wants research/intent. Quora is slow reading traffic so your nutra advertorial actually fits there way better than a sweeps flow does. Save the sweeps for Snap/Pinterest like @XSMMDoctor said.

And id keep Quora budget tight til one angle hits breakeven. That traffic clicks slow and reads forever so judging it on a small spend just gives you a misleading picture imo.

I wouldnt judge any platform too fast, sometimes the offer just fits one audience way better than another.

Every platform has a different audience, so don’t treat them like Facebook. Focus on matching the offer with the right user intent and test creatives/landing pages properly.
