Do you really need to hit muscles twice a week, or is once enough?

5 day bro split is working great for me and fits my work life balance. what about you guys?

What muscling up have to do with work life balance. You need lots of money and peace of mind for work life balance.

I get your point about money and peace of mind, but workout split also plays a role in work life balance.
If I train multiple muscles in one session, I feel more fatigue and it affects my next day’s energy.
So it’s not just about money , itss also about how well your training fits into your daily routine and recovery.

It's only about money if you are paycheck to paycheck. If you are paycheck to paycheck, you need to completely downsize your life. For example, ditching having an apartment, going to food banks, not paying any insurance and you can keep most of your paycheck. After a year or 2, you built up some nice income.

Now with what you said above, you aren't alone.

For me, spreading out working out and not overdoing it is the only way to go.

20 minutes every other day is enough or 20 minutes and then 10 minutes the next day followed by another 20 minutes and 10 minutes. I never get physically burned out but mentally from working out. My mind is now too cloudy afterwards after an intense workout. Reducing the amount of energy/time on my workouts fixed this issue.

2-3x max for me :)

Yeah, once was enough for me. In my lifetime.
Yeah, I see both sides here.

Money definitely plays a big role in peace of mind, no doubt. But at the same time, I felt keeping it lighter and consistent works better.

I prefer consistence 3 days a week rather than 5 days and won't go most of the time
we have work to do also so it's not easy to find free time in all the 5 days

5 days a week, 2 day rest. It was the peak days I was hitting my muscles.

once i was hitting 1 muscle for 5 days i got results in 8 months a good pump and good body then i got shoulder injury and couldnt hit gym, now i started after 1.7 years gave overall muscles strenght for one week now hitting 2 muscles per day its been 1 month and i seeing visible results maybe its muscle memory but 2x muscles 1 day then 1 day rest then 2x muscles other day, going gym 3 days 1 week its good for me

That doesn't help a particular muscle. It just burns calories, may help muscle a bit.

Running is great but it alone can't built muscles.

I run everyday, that counts?

With full motivation i was following with 5 days rule. Now i am back with my tummy

My point of view once a week is enough

Haha true that bro
Everyone’s built different , some are gym machines hitting 5 days, some of us are just trying to survive Monday

For me, it’s all about balancing work, energy, and recovery. When I was consistent, 5day split felt amazing. but the moment routine breaks, tummy says hello again

Honestly, I would take a solid 3 days done properly over planning 5 and ghosting the gym half the week
At the end of the day consistency, motivation

For most of us, just going to the gym gets boring fast. Pick a sport that you love and strength train to improve in the sport.

4 days a week was doing the job for me, but i stopped going to the gym due to time issues.

I saw some free weights once and thought they reminded me of cauliflower, so I walked away.
Haha just avoid looking at the cauliflower and lift it anyway

4 days is actually solid, honestly time is the real enemy, not the gym. Even a quick 30 to 40 min session can keep things going.
