I want to make wordpress+woocomerce to sell digital products
I check my competitor websites and I like what I see so I search the theme they use and when I use that Theme I get completely different thing
what's the problem here?
is there any tutorial on that?

you obviously need to customize the theme yourself, nobody uses themes as they are, especially on Wordpress...

Personally, I recommend you don't even use WP anymore, it's so complex and complicated for newbies (especially the learning and testing of all of the good plugins that you will invariably need, and then customizing those too, then keeping up with the frequent updates and whatnot...)

The problem, however, is that I don't know of any alternative to WP that's less complicated to handle, but which is also as highly customizable as WP, so you're kinda stuck with it

But anyway, you do need to customize it if you want to make it as pretty as your competitors', so yeah... get busy learning and testing cause you've got a lot of these to do as a newbie...

What you’re seeing is normal; most themes look very different until you import demo content or configure them properly. Try checking if the theme has a demo importer or setup guide, and look up tutorials on customizing layouts, plugins, and settings in WooCommerce.

As a newbie, I realized the theme alone is not enough. Those sites use extra plugins, page builders, and custom settings, so you need to import demo content and tweak things to get a similar look.

I'm not newbie, I made my first WP website in 2011
but I think im suck at design and didn't understand how WP work yet

You need to customize it with page builder plugins like elementor or any other you like.

Here’s a suggestion based on my experience: Since you like your competitor's website, just take a screenshot and feed it to an AI (I personally use Gemini). It can guide you through how to implement those features in WordPress. For example, you can tell the AI, "Their navigation bar looks cool—it has a gradient effect on hover and a dropdown menu. How can I achieve this?"

If you spend a few days following tutorials module by module to build a few pages, you'll pretty much get the hang of web design.

P.S. I personally moved away from WordPress later on. Since my projects only required static pages, it was much easier to just have the AI write the .html code. I just provide it with the page text and my preset CSS, and it handles the assembly.

When you install the same theme, you’re only getting the basic structure, not the finished website. What you see on competitor sites is built with page builders, custom layouts, plugins, and manual design work. You have to customize everything like layout, content, and styling to achieve a similar final output.

Nothing is wrong here, A theme only gives you the basic design, not the full site. Most competitor websites use demo imports, page builders like Elementor, extra plugins, and custom tweaks, which is why it looks different. You need to import the demo content and customize it to match their layout.

Theme alone isn't enough design depends on plugin, customizations, and setup. Use demos + page builders to match it.
