sure yes. As who else is going to make it? 40-50's is peak performance ages. That age group can work software better and have more insight into what makes a market and trend move over time. Go get em tiger! lol

Just spend a little time watching the teen boards on reddit lol, i go there, and STILL i can't understand most of it! We need a BHW Gen-Z word guide! lol Its easy to make a basic Skibidi toilet animation at least though, a wojak, or a pepe frog, or something else. Just sprinkle things in. I recommend anyone who wants to do youtube do animation, as you can see that you can use ai and make it really fast, or you can spend time drawing and doodling funny stuff like clipart scenes and still score well. You don't have to show your face, and you can easily on a low budget make something for any niche / time period.

Age is a ghost on YouTube, especially if you’re doing faceless automation. Teenagers don't check your ID; they check if your content is fast, engaging, and hits the right hooks.
Quick tips for 2026:
Don't 'act' young: Nothing kills a channel faster than fellow kids energy. Stay authentic.
Master the Pacing: Their attention spans are shorter than ever. Use fast cuts, dynamic captions, and solid B-roll.
Leverage AI: Use tools like Claude to check your scripts for boomer phrasing and to keep the flow modern.
Go Faceless: If you're really worried about the age gap, just stay behind the scenes. Some of the biggest teen channels are run by guys in their 40s who just understand the algorithm.
The algorithm only cares about retention, not your birth year.

yes. you can. I myself is 45. my viewers are mostly range 33 to 60+. under 20 years old is under 10%. I think targeting older age audiences more reliable than targeting younger one.

people dont care about your age - only the value of your content

[YnteTC]

Just get a feeling of what the trends are and analyse the patterns, from there on creativity comes in. Nothing to worry about your age.

Other way around works the same; try on error

Yes, 100%. Age doesn’t matter — understanding your audience does. Don’t try to act like a teen, just stay natural, follow trends, and focus on fast, engaging content with strong hooks.

Yes, obviously.

teens do not need an author of their age. they need content which understands them and their problems nd interests. this is something a person over 40 can easily do if he does not make assumptions about the auddience but rather listens to them. comments will help as well.

yesh i would say, but first the creator should put some effort into learning about what the teenagers really watch nd talk about. even a trivial personal story can resonate with younger audience if it is funny enough.trying too hard to imittate their lingo may have the opposite effect lol.

Yes, just keep it relatable and natural. Good humor has no age limit.

Don't be afraid, just give it a try )
I'd start with a question: what can I share with the younger generation that will interest them?

Of course he/she cans, as long as he/she is informed about the latest teenager trends and if he/she can make the content appealing for Gen Z and/or younger people.
