AI is creating idiots

AI is content theft, not technology

not always, and the AI definitely doesn't improve mine. Nice try :)

Not in mood of arguing but that's how education, literature reached vast majority of people passing of information and knowledge sharing

but the AI doesn't share information. It only spews out what it's programmed to spew out.

And it's still stolen content. Literature is not stolen, is shared for free or purchased, when was the last time someone got paid for the content the AI stole from them?

This video explains it...

Never used AI in my entire life, and never will.... and I still struggle with critical thinking quite often, so imagine if I let the AI do the thinking for me, I would successfully become a full-fledged moron :D

Anyway, enjoy watching!

Oh, and by the way, if the video doesn't load for you either just download it and watch it offline. But beware that around the 3 minute mark there's a paid promotion segment that lasts until 3:59 I believe, so if you start seeing the ad (about Incogni), just skip to 3:59 and the video will resume
AI creates idiots, smart people create AI

AI creates idiots, smart people create AI
and even smarter people use it to make idiots. But this doesn't mean that doing evil is justified. You, people, keep missing the point

You are right.

But maybe the correct name is LLM, we should stop using the term ''AI'' for this stuff. We are far away from a real artificial inteligence, this is not inteligence, this is just like an automated advanced parrot repeating whatever it learned from human knowledge, it can organize previously showed ideas, mix them, rehash them, but not create something new, original, unique, creative and human. LLM is a better term for this shit. Or maybe just AFP - Advanced Fancy Parrot

Now humans have a competitor in the form of AI. This is a stimulus for us. Can we be smarter?

being smart is not everything, mate! Being responsible, caring, happy, empathetic, altruistic, kind... these are (arguably) more important qualities for humans to have than having 5000 IQ or whatever smartness means for you

There is truth in your words.
I give the word smart a deep meaning. It is not only knowledge. It is an understanding of life.

Who will call a person smart? If he can multiply 3-digit numbers in his head but cannot tie shoelaces, fry an egg or a girl.

AI doesn’t create idiots it amplifies behavior mostly. AI is like a calculator If you rely on it blindly you lose skills If you use it to learn you get stronger.

You won't be able to change human nature, all you can do is make money and take care of yourself and your loved ones. People are completely oblivion to the fact that gpt & co are statistical models powered by machine learning algorithm that will give you whatever output increases in-app engagement and retention, and with more data it will only get better. It's not about truth or lie, it's about this: If user inputs XYZ, given his context and previous chats, which output should I give him to keep him engaged and spend more time in app? Probably &XYIUFIEWY. That's it, there's no truth, no lie, no logic, no intelligence.

But the important thing is that if you want to make money with AI, you should stop judging it and just see it as a money making tool. Making money is about numbers, not about feeling or judgments. This is just how it works.

Since you mentioned family, this is part of taking care of them. You won't want to have a kid without basic critical thinking, just a parrot of biased AIs with partially developed brain due to endless hours of AI slop and outsourcing everything to bots

It's not all about the money
