For aged Google Ads accounts that suddenly stop spending, what do you check first?

Seeing more aged accounts pass review, run for a few days, then suddenly stop spending without a clear hard disapproval.

My first pass is usually:
1. billing or payment profile changes
2. recent edits that reset learning
3. geo or audience overlap between campaigns
4. quiet policy warnings that do not fully disapprove the account

I try to check those before touching bids or budgets, because once the setup side is noisy the data gets hard to trust.

For people here handling recovery on older accounts, what is your own order of checks? Anything you would move higher on the list?

My order is: check impressions/eligible status > review account-level trust signals > then campaign settings.
Aged accounts that suddenly stop spending are often being silently limited, not misconfigured.
Also check search terms and CTR drop, sometimes performance decline triggers reduced delivery automatically.

1. Level akun (paling prioritas)

Status akun & quality score keseluruhan
Riwayat pembatasan (shadow restriction / limited delivery)
Perubahan pada Business Manager / kepemilikan aset
Trust level metode pembayaran (sering jadi silent issue)

2. Event & tracking

Pixel / conversion API (apakah masih firing normal)
Event prioritas (AEM) tidak berubah / tertimpa
Delay atau drop data (ini sering bikin learning “seolah reset”)

3. Struktur campaign

Cek apakah ada overlap audience (terutama broad vs interest)
Duplikasi adset yang terlalu mirip (internal competition)
Perubahan kecil (edit creative / targeting) yang reset learning tanpa sadar

4. Delivery & learning phase

Apakah stuck di learning limited
Frekuensi terlalu tinggi → fatigue
CTR & CPM naik tiba-tiba (indikasi relevansi turun)

5. Policy & hidden warning

Bukan cuma reject, tapi “limited” atau “restricted category”
Beberapa akun tetap jalan tapi reach-nya ditekan

6. Faktor eksternal

Perubahan musim / demand
Kompetitor masuk (CPM naik)
Perubahan funnel (landing page lemot / error)

Hal yang paling saya prioritaskan:
Kalau harus pilih 3 tercepat untuk diagnosis:

Tracking (pixel/event)
Status akun & payment trust
Learning reset akibat edit kecil

Assuming that I have made no changes prior to the stoppage of spending, before checking anything, I will pause the running campaign, make no changes, wait for 6 hours (preferably 24 hours) and then unpause the campaign (make no changes) and observe the campaign performance for the next 24 hours.
