Buying views is useless… so how do you REALLY push a YouTube video?

Hey everyone,

I’ve been trying to understand how YouTube actually pushes videos and what really matters for growth.

I often see people talking about buying views, likes, or subscribers, but from what I understand, that alone doesn’t really work anymore. It seems like watch time and audience retention are way more important if you want the algorithm to pick up your video.

So my question is:

If someone wanted to “push” their YouTube videos in a more natural-looking way, what kind of services or strategies would actually make sense?

For example:

  • Is there anything like real traffic or promotion services that bring in viewers who actually watch the video?
  • Do people use ads (YouTube Ads, external traffic, etc.) to simulate organic growth?
  • Are there any safe ways to boost early watch time and retention without hurting the channel long-term?
I’m not looking for spammy bot services, but more for methods that align with how YouTube evaluates videos today.

Would love to hear your experiences or recommendations.

Thanks!

Yeah, you’re thinking the right way — buying views doesn’t really work anymore. YouTube mostly cares if people actually click and watch. So CTR and retention matter way more. It’s better to bring in a small amount of real, interested viewers (from TikTok, Reddit, your own audience) than a lot of fake views. Ads can help a bit at the start, but mostly to test if your video is good, not to boost it long-term.
What actually works now is pretty simple: good thumbnail, strong hook in the first seconds, and some real early traffic.

And don’t ignore SEO — if you pick the right keywords and optimize your video, it can bring steady views from search, not just random spikes from recommendations.

For Youtube, you need to focus on 2 things only

Video Packaging: - Title , Thumnail (Priority) - Before users view your content, they need to click it. So Focus on improving the video packaging to get High CTR.

Avarage View Duration:- Youtube wants people to spend more time on their plartform. So your job is to keep your viewers engaged. Long videos those are more than 8-10 minutes generally performs better. But it also depends on your niche. So check what duration your niche is doing best and follow that.

Also, 60% + view percentage videos generally get more push from Youtube. A great hook, pattern breaks, climax etc are great ways to keep the viewers engaged to your video.

Following these things shall boost your videos and chanel on youtube.

it is useless because they dont watch, what actually pushes videos is high retention and strong click through rate in the first hours, best way to "push" is better hooks, titles, thumbnails, plus sending real traffic from Shorts or other platforms, ads can help but only if the content already holds attention

buying views is just for script kiddies who dont understand how neurall networks work. if your retention is trash no amount of bot traffic will save your dead chanel. just pay for some ads and stop looking for magic button that not exist

A phone farm is what you need, because you yourself will train the algorithm to show your videos to the right audience, and this will make it grow organically
does this still works becuase i hear is not anymore a thing as google can catch fast the patterns
