Consistency is overrated

yes and no. for most people consistency will be the best way to grow. However, if you spend 6 months making a video/content and its well produce it can do good. for example, michael reeves maybe puts out 1-2 videos a year, and they do well howeve,r he is an established YouTuber who i think streams and does videos in other people's channels, so he is still relevant.

I build full bot automated for my website around 2 weeks. maintenance is everyday. The day after, I make another bot for my other projects in a few days. Again, maintenance is everyday. I believe consistency builds a habit for the audience, quality and distinctiveness are what build a legacy

how would the platform show their viewers in a way that maximises their ad revenue? its not just the quality of the content. maybe they want to know who is likely to build loyal followers, and gain attention, and one of those key variables will be consistency.

I think of it like going to work. u need to be there by 8am daily. it doesnt make you special, but if u are late, its not good for your career

is consistency is overrated these days? is there others way to build channel for long term (like creativity something like that)
Consistency is key if you want to grow. But you do have to have excellent quality of content. Creativity also plays a role because if you are highly creative you will produce better content for your channel.

Yes, Content is and always will be King. As long as you focusing on the right type of audience with the same taste as you, you should always work on it.

One time I work on a TikTok account for months and it only reached around 9k followers. I'm really frustrated at that point, however, I did keep working on my content changing different ways of editting and how I tell my story. It actually gained around 200k-300k followers in a span of 3 weeks.

But it also depend on what kind of content do you make to evaluate the potentiality of it getting viral.

agree, consistency is still the safest path for most people, especially when you’re starting out and trying to learn what works + build an audience but standout content can break that rule like your example, maybe that's the reason why we have to combine both creativity & consistency right

automated means does it do everything on its own? like giving content and seo?

Consistency is everything, you just need to good at research of niche. If you manage to select good niche with good audience or consumer base, then all you need is Consistency and improvements on your content or product everyday. You need to become specialized in that niche, that can be achieved only by being consistent.

Just my personal thoughts.

consistency, creativity and drive

Not overrated, but if you are doing something wrong or bad consistently, you will multiply the negative effects of that

Blind consistency without a previous thought, without self criticism is not good

When you study winners, you see consistency at success and failure is what they have all in common. They paid the price to win in every case of winning.

Yup, consistency, but you should always improve your quality. Consistency alone is not enough.

you wont win in life without consistency ...

Consistency isnt overrated boring consistency is сreativity gets attention consistency keeps it

Consistency is everything, and is absolutely not overrated. Except in some very few cases like the first comment mentioned.

Anyone with a bang average understanding of a niche who works 60 hours/wk will pretty much always outperform a competitor who is an expert but only dedicates half the amount of time to it (assuming all other things are equal).

It's obvious really, if your rival is spending double the amount of time you spend working, they will surpass you despite a lesser skillset.

Just because you're working online don't mistake the fact that business is business.

You wouldn't even ask if consistency was important/overrated if you were running a brick and mortar shop. Just imagine.

"Will my computer repair shop suffer/be less successful if I decide to only open 3 days a week?"

Blind consistency only teaches the algorithm to expect average output from you. It’s better to be consistently data-driven—test 5 wild, highly creative formats, see what sticks, and then scale that specific winner.
