Herbs as a medicine?

I personally believe it but nowdays the usage of it has been at different levels which is really a affective one.

I've found herbs to be best at preventive medicine.

Do you believe that?

like the ancient one?
of course! Even drugs are made of herbs, except that they're sold as pills to benefit the pharmaceutical industry. In our world everything is (still) about the money, many common systems have been hijacked to benefit the few criminals that rule the world

yeah i definitely believe in it to an extent because a huge chunk of modern pharmaceuticals are literally just synthesized versions of compounds they originally found in ancient herbs anyway. obviously a lot of the mystical stuff is pure snake oil but for basic things like inflammation or digestion the old school remedies still totally work.

Yes, it works.. Like if you have cold or cough just take one spoon ginger water including tulsi and honey.. within 2 days it's out. Just like so many home remedies work through herbs which helps your disease without any side effects.

100%, we live in the countryside with lots of forests. My mom teached me when I was young what can be collected for medicine purposes or prevention. Mushrooms, herbs, certain tree saps etc. . It's not just that they help, they also taste good! When my wife has her period for example I sometimes go in the forest and collect common nettles and make a tea from that, it helps with the pain. But with everything consumable....the dosage is important, if you consume certain herbs or teas every day that can be bad for you also.

yeah the "ancient" part is what gets me curious, like turmeric has actual clinical studies now showing anti-inflammatory effects comparable to ibuprofen in some trials, not just folk wisdom anymore. i started messing around with ashwagandha for stress after leaving my job and my cortisol markers dropped noticeably within like 6 weeks according to bloodwork i did through function health. do you think theres a difference between the herbs that actually have research behind them vs the ones that are just vibes and tradition?

Just because something doesn't have research behind it doesn't mean it doesn't work BUT be also cautious. Like I mentioned before (I like that saying) "the dose makes the poison"....wether it be alcohol, pizza, candy, supplements or herbal medicine, don't overdo it. Also always check for known side effects. For example the chaga mushroom, I make a tea from that like once a week, a very known side effect is that I can thin the blood. So if you have blood issues you shouldn't drink that tea.

Now if we go further to something like vitamin b17 and it's APPARENTLY anti cancer properties, that can be far fetched of course. If I have cancer , would I trust a pseudo anti cancer vitamin (it's not actually a vitamin)? No I wouldn't. On the other hand, if I have tummy ache, would I trust a herbal tea my granny told me to drink? Maybe, but it wouldn't hurt to try since it's just a tummy ache.

Difficult topic!

I believe in it since i saw it help my kids and my anmials. I really did not take any medicine in my life so far except for some painkillers, but i really saw it work wonders with them. And they dont know if it should work or not.
