266 Pages Indexed in 7 Weeks
No Outreach. No Ads. No PBNs.

full

I built an SEO tool and decided to use my own site as the case study. Ate my own cooking.

7 topical pillars.
~175 articles (~25 per pillar).
1 pillar per week.
Full internal linking from day one. Just basic citations, topical maps, and content.

What Actually Happened

After the first 2 pillars — indexing was decent. Google picked up pages but crawled shallow.

After pillar 3 and 4, something shifted. Google started crawling article -> article -> tool -> category in a single session. It stopped treating the site like a collection of pages and started treating it like a system.

By pillar 7, everything was compounding:

266 pages indexed · ~2,900 organic visitors · 2,590 new visitors

Growth accelerating with every new cluster. Structure did most of the work — not content quality.

Traffic growth (no backlinks):

Last 90 days:

Why It Worked

The difference? Every article was mapped before it was written.

Pillars, clusters, intent separation, internal links — all planned upfront.
No orphan pages.
No cannibalization.
No "publish and pray."

Most sites look like a pile of articles. That's exactly why a lot of them just... stall.

Browse the actual content — real articles, real structure: topicalhq.com/guides/topical-authority

The Tool Behind It

Doing this manually is a nightmare.

Spreadsheets, exporting keywords, trying to keep 100+ articles connected in your head while writing... it breaks fast. I did it manually on a different project and it took weeks. For this one I said no way — I'm building a tool.

That's how TopicalHQ started.

Keyword -> Topical Authority Map -> Article. All connected. Each article knows what exists in the project, inserts contextually relevant internal links, and avoids overlap

Quick demo — full workflow, no fluff, 3 minutes:

Pricing

Still early — gathering feedback and improving based on real usage.

Simple: 1 credit = €1, credits never expire.
Topical map = 2 credits · Article = 2 credits

Starter €29/mo | Pro €79/mo | Scale €199/mo
topicalhq.com/pricing

7-day refund if the output doesn't match demo quality.

Jr. VIP Review Copies — 5 Spots

Giving away 5 x 1-Year Starter Plans (worth €348 each) to Jr. VIP+ members who want to test it properly and leave an honest review on this thread.

Interested? Reply "I'm in — [your niche]". I'll pick 5 and set up your accounts.

Not looking for fluff reviews — I want real feedback on what works and what doesn't.
Will close once the 5 spots are filled.

BHW Launch Bonus — 20 Credits

Not a Jr. VIP? No problem.

Sign up at topicalhq.com/signup, drop your username in a reply, and I'll load 20 credits onto your account. No credit card needed.

That's 1 topical authority map + 9 articles — just want people to actually use it and tell me what's working.

Curious how you guys are actually doing this right now.

Mapping topics first, or still doing keyword -> article -> publish -> hope?

Because from what I'm seeing, only one of those is working anymore.

big thanks to the marketplace team for approving the thread

to celebrate the launch on bhw, i’m opening a limited number of review spots
giving away 5x starter plans (full access) for 12 months

requirements:
- active bhw member (preferably some post history)
- experience with seo / content / ai
- actually use the tool and post a detailed review

no one-liners, i’m looking for real feedback

if you’re interested, reply with:
- your current workflow
- how you plan to use topicalhq

i’ll personally select the users

Sounds interesting. I'd probably use it to research a commercial product term. My usual workflow is do keyword research, cluster, pick out the commerical terms, and build blogs around those.

Also, just saw this on the site. Where is the dataforseo used?

Thanks for the review spots!

I handle SEO for a few health niche sites. Right now I’m still doing everything the old-school way -manual keyword research, feeding stuff to ChatGPT, then tons of editing for E-E-A-T, and trying to build content clusters. It’s honestly eating up way too much of my time.

Want to use it to build strong topical authority maps, create good pillar + cluster content, and fix my linking so scaling becomes easier.

I’ll test it seriously and post a proper review with screenshots in 6-8 weeks.

Cheers,
Walter

If you go to the keywords tab and select some keywords u want real metrics on you can pull them from dataforseo, but costs a bit extra. Here is an image :

U just need to press the get real metrics button

Could you send me a sample?

What do you mean about sending you a sample more exactly ?

Update: Thread Edited

The seller has contacted us to change the content of the opening post in their sales thread. The old content and the new content can be found in the spoilers below.

Hey BHW,

AI search is already eating traffic.
If your content isn’t structured properly, tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini won’t cite it — which means you’re leaving a lot of traffic on the table.
So we built TopicalHQ.com

It lets you go from:
keyword -> topical authority structure -> fully written SEO article, all inside one platform.

No spreadsheets. No exporting CSVs. No jumping between 5 tools.

Quick overview

3-minute video demo

Here’s a quick demo where I go from blank project to topical authority map to 2800 word article
(No fluff — I skip the loading screens)

The problem most SEOs still have

Most workflows still look like this:
  1. export keywords
  2. clean them in a spreadsheet
  3. send them to GPT
  4. write content
  5. manually build internal links
Result? = CSV hell.

You lose context between tools and waste hours organizing data.

TopicalHQ keeps everything connected.
Your keyword research flows directly into topical authority maps and AI articles.

What you can do with TopicalHQ

  • build topical authority maps (~150 keywords per pillar)
  • generate 2000+ word SEO articles
  • manage keyword lists per project
  • track rankings across locations
  • discover keywords with DataForSEO metrics
  • explore trending topics using Google Trends

Everything happens in the same workflow.

Example output

Check the pillars and articles here: https://topicalhq.com/guides/topical-authority
They are written with TopicalHQ AI Article Writer

Articles Features:
  • GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) - Content structured for AI citation by ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Claude
  • Short Answer Blocks - Atomic 45-60 word sections designed for AI extraction and quotation
  • Executive Summary Sections - Strategic essence blocks for quick AI comprehension
  • Section TL;DR Blocks - 3-bullet summaries optimized for AI summarization
  • Terminology Normalization - Consistent language for enhanced entity recognition
  • Semantic Entity Mapping - Core, supporting, and contextual entity classification
  • Cross-Pillar Linking Intelligence - Semantic overlap detection for topical authority
  • Anti-Cannibalization Rules - Concept ownership prevents content conflicts
  • E-E-A-T & AAT Framework Scoring - Quality validation that AI models respect

BHW Launch Bonus

To celebrate the launch we’re giving BHW users 20 BONUS CREDITS.
That’s enough to generate:
  • your first topical authority map
  • about 10 SEO articles

How to claim

How to claim your credits:

Status update — review spots

One spot taken (Walter — health niche, respect for the detailed reply).
Still 4 open.

@kshatriya — your workflow is actually a solid fit for this. Keyword research → clusters → commercial terms is exactly the pipeline the tool handles end to end. If you want a spot, you're in.

@lefuxa — still waiting on your username, let me know and I'll set you up.
Also shipped the interactive topical map view today — you can now explore the full map visually, not just as a list. Relevant if you're planning content structure across multiple clusters.

For everyone asking for samples — everything's live at topicalhq.com/guides/topical-authority — real articles, real structure, built with the tool.
