I think money becomes like a god in this system because it controls comfort, security, freedom and status. Most people are not obsessed with the paper itself, they are obsessed with what it gives them. The problem is once someone starts tying self worth to money, enough never feels like enough.

Money is just a paper promise which people trust can be used as a means to handle payments, more practical than dragging cattle to the kiosk to but cigs, but the problem is the desire of accumulation of financial firepower.

yeah man, money kinda runs everything in this system… its like power, control, survival all tied together. people chase it cos it gives security and status, but it never really feels enough.

Money just represents value - someone values you they give you money, someone doesn't they don't. I wouldn't demonize pieces of paper and numbers on the screen.

I mean... If they give me money it's fine with me. If they just want to take then I'd be worried unless I'm paying them for their services/work then it's fine and understandable, people want to eat.
