Is Blogging still profitable in 2026 for beginners?

I think blogging is still worth it, but it’s definitely not as easy as it used to be. In my experience, it takes more time now to see results, especially with so much competition and AI content out there.

Hey guys, i've been seeing mixed opinions about blogging lately. Some people say it's still profitable, while others think AI and social media are taking over.

What do you guys think - is blogging still worth starting in 2026, especially for beginners?
It's still worth it but if you do it to earn money you've gotta wait at 6 months building, experimenting and refining your content in order to get decent enough traffic that converts to paying customers or can get monetized with adsense.

blogging is still profitable in 2026 but only if you treat like a long term asset, not quick money.

I think blogging in 2026 will still be incredibly worthwhile, but the approach will have completely changed. Instead of writing generic content to please Google, successful blogs today focus on people and real life experiences. Don't worry about being replaced by AI. Think of AI as a powerful assistant to help you research and optimize, but the soul of your writing should remain yours

Yep google will always like new content

I agree, it definitely feels more competitive now than before. With Ai content everywhere, it seems like quality and consistency matter even more. Have you noticed if certain niches are still easier to grow in?

Honestly, blogging in 2026 can still make sense, but it’s no longer just about writing a “diary” and waiting for traffic. AI and social media have really changed the game, so you need to seriously think about your niche, content, and promotion. If you’re ready to put time into marketing and providing value, it’s possible to start, but without a strategy, it’ll be tough

If you want to start your own blog, give it a try. It's important that it's cool, unique, something new, and then there will be results.

Honestly, blogging is still profitable in 2026 — it’s just not as simple as it used to be. You can’t throw up random posts and expect traffic or money anymore. Now it’s more about picking a clear niche, actually knowing what you’re talking about, and building trust over time. You also need to mix in SEO, social media, and a bit of personal branding if you want to grow faster. AI hasn’t killed blogging, it’s just made the competition tougher. So yeah, it’s still worth starting — just go in with the mindset that it’s a long-term game, not a quick win.

You can’t rely on basic content anymore. It needs to be useful, specific, and a bit different.

Blogging still works, just not the lazy way.

I feel blogging still works, but you need more patience now compared to before. For me, mixing it with other traffic sources makes it more effective.

Blogging is still very much profitable but marketing and driving traffic has become a lot different. Relying on SEO alone is now becoming a thing of the past, because you might even rank and still not attract decent traffic. This especially for information sites.

Yes, it still works, but takes time. Stay consistent and focus on quality. Combining blog with social helps a lot.

Yes, you can still make money from blogging. It just takes time now. Keep posting helpful content and don't expect fast results.

Blogging is still profitable, but it's no longer as easy as it used to be. Some argue it remains lucrative, while others believe artificial intelligence and social media are gradually replacing it because AI makes content creation too easy. Anyone can write hundreds of articles using AI. This content surplus has led to fiercer competition, but many can still make money because search intent persists, for example, in the form of tutorials, reviews, etc.

Building on the idea of combining blogging with social media, I've found that leveraging YouTube and podcasting can amplify blog traffic by up to 35% in 6-8 weeks. By repurposing blog content into video and audio formats, I've been able to tap into different audience preferences and increase overall reach. One of my test sites saw a 27% boost in organic traffic after launching a complementary YouTube channel, with video embeds on the blog further enhancing user engagement and dwell time.
