Is anyone with experience to share tips if it's good or not to run carousel ads for Gambling? Or which format you think works the best?

And is it about the country i run in?

Carousel ads for Gambling are useless. It's better to run videos. To attract players you need videos, not a bunch of pictures.

In some cases, carousel ads may not perform as strongly for certain niches. Many advertisers find that video formats tend to capture more attention and engagement, especially when trying to explain or showcase something more dynamically. Testing different creatives and focusing on what resonates with your audience is usually the best approach.

Video creatives outperform carousels for gambling ads, I've found that short-form videos under 15 seconds with a clear call-to-action can increase conversions by up to 25%. Additionally, using user-generated content in these videos can boost click-through rates by 30-40%. For instance, a recent campaign I ran in Tier 2 countries saw a 22% higher return on ad spend when using short-form UGC videos compared to carousel ads. Furthermore, targeting specific regions with tailored messaging can also significantly impact performance, with some countries responding better to emotional appeals and others to more logical, bonus-focused messaging.

Do you run Gambling ads on Tiktok without problems?

Carousel ads can work for Gambling if you use them to showcase multiple game winners or daily bonuses, but for TikTok, short-form video (Spark Ads) still dominates for this niche. High-energy video content with a strong 'win' feeling usually converts much better than static images

I’d start with small tests. Carousels are interesting because you can show several offers, but often direct banners or videos work better. And definitely check the local rules, because in some countries they simply won’t allow gambling ads

In the betting industry, every format is limited by meta platforms, so effectiveness depends heavily on the country. Carousels or videos are only secondary; generally, videos combined with a good landing page are still more effective.

carousels can work but honestly for gambling i always had better results with short video creatives. people scroll fast on tiktok, you need to hook them in the first second not make them swipe

For TikTok, you have to check there TOS when it comes to posting gambling, but in terms of carousel; it might be better if you just post videos

Carousel's okay, but UGC videos still crush it for Gambling on TT. just make sure your cloaking is solid

I don't think tiktok will accept gambling ads, except you "pack" it into ugc content

isn't tiktok much stricter with gambling overall?

i use same method too, carousel is ok but mostly video ads work better for gambling coz people like fast action and big win clips, carousel good if u want show multiple offers or steps, and yeah country matters a lot some countries cheap but low quality traffic and some expensive but better conversion, so better test with small budget in different countries then scale.

Your video content needs to be truly engaging; try to create a big hit that stimulates customer interest.

gambling ads = tricky everywhere
  • Carousel can work, but usually video (short, hook-heavy) performs better
  • Compliance matters a lot → many platforms restrict or limit reach
