Hey BHW,

I recently had a new project channel removed by YouTube. However, I have 3 other monetized channels on the same device.

The setup:

  • All 3 monetized channels use 100% original content.
  • Each channel is under a different email address.
  • They are all logged into the same phone as the terminated channel.
I’ve already filed an appeal for the removed channel. My main concern is "channel association"—is there a high risk that YouTube will flag or remove my healthy monetized channels because they share a device/IP with the terminated one?

Looking for advice from anyone who has dealt with multi-channel management and terminations recently. Thanks!

If your terminated channel shares nothing with your monetized channels other than the device or IP address, you should be fine.

And by “nothing,” I mean things like:

AdSense account, phone number, or ID verification.

The removed channel wasn't monetized yet, so there is no associated AdSense account. I verified that channel using a new phone number and the video verification option. However, for my other monetized channel, I used my ID for verification

You should be fine then!

JFYI you will not be able to use the video verification option in the future.

I get what @Robo Tech is saying, but in practice it’s a bit more layered than just “shared assets vs not”.

Even without AdSense on the terminated channel, you still have to look at this from YouTube’s policy angle. Under their enforcement and “Circumventing Systems” rules, they don’t rely on a single identifier like AdSense or phone. It’s more about whether multiple channels are considered to be operated by the same entity.

The ID verification on your monetized channel is actually a stronger signal than people think. Once you tie an account to real identity, that becomes a high-confidence anchor. The other channel not having AdSense doesn’t fully isolate it if both were accessed from the same device and environment.

That said, this doesn’t automatically put your monetized channel in danger. Context matters a lot.

If the removed channel was taken down for something like reused content or a borderline policy issue, I’ve seen plenty of cases where the monetized one keeps running fine, even with shared device usage.

Where things get sensitive is if the termination falls under spam, deceptive practices, or anything that could be interpreted as trying to game the system. That’s where the “associated channels” part of their policy tends to kick in harder.

Also, small detail most people ignore… verification method doesn’t separate accounts as much as people assume. Different phone, video verification, ID… those are just pieces. Behavior and environment usually weigh more over time.

So I wouldn’t say you’re “safe”, but you’re also not in immediate danger just because of the setup you described.

If I were you, I’d keep the monetized channel as stable as possible for now. No sudden changes in upload frequency, no aggressive pushes, nothing that changes its normal pattern while the appeal is pending.

Can you tell us what the exact termination reason was. That’s usually the deciding factor here more than anything else.

The termination falls under this.

Youtube usually doesn't remove associated channels. I once had a lifetime ban on one of my accounts due to a channel. After 5 years, the channel was resurrected. They removed the channel that violated terms but brought back all other channels. However, it's better to pursue the appeal to avoid restrictions.

My appeal was rejected. My major concern is my other monetized channels; hopefully, the removed channel doesn’t affect them.

check the reason for termination , and make sure same not running on your other channels, should be safe , also if 3 different identity is used google may go to further checks

Perhaps, with my 10 years of experience in this area, I would say that It's better to be careful, and if nothing happens, that's fine, than to believe that everything is alright and lose your channels, don't you agree?

You should be okay, but I’d avoid logging all channels on same phone for now.

Another one of my channels was removed, and it was the monetized one.

In 2026, the risk of "channel association" is higher than ever due to YouTube's advanced device and browser fingerprinting. Even with separate emails, being logged into the same physical phone links these accounts in the eyes of the AI-driven integrity systems.
If the termination stands after your appeal, YouTube’s Terms of Service technically prohibit you from "using, possessing, or creating any other YouTube channels." While your existing healthy channels might not be deleted immediately, they are under significant risk because the system has already mapped them to the same "human entity" via your device ID and IP address. To protect your remaining channels, you should immediately stop switching between them on that same device, and in the future, use anti-detect browsers or separate physical devices to ensure complete isolation.

Immediately stop using same device for the accounts. Manage appeals & run channels through unique devices or use a multi-accounting tool.
Thanks for the info. So it’s okay if i logout of the channel and login on another device to start posting?

Yes, it's fine. Google is notorious for tracking footprints. So, it's better to keep the other channels away from the banned accounts. But everything depends on the reason for the ban. It's difficult to assess the safety of other accounts without identifying the root cause.
