Is this YouTube gray-hat method actually real or just another guru scam?

I’ve been seeing some bloggers on Threads talking about a so-called gray-hat method of making money with YouTube.

The strange part is they never share the full details. They also say they are not going to consult anyone or sell courses, but at the same time they keep posting about it like they want attention before eventually monetizing the story.

They claim they make $2k–$10k per channel.

From what they describe, their method looks something like this:

1. They buy monetized YouTube channels with 50k–200k subscribers, supposedly because older/larger channels get more trust from the platform.
2. They upload copyrighted content like cartoons, movies, and other viral material after making some edits in CapCut or Premiere Pro — changing the scale, adding small effects, and making minor modifications — supposedly to bypass Content ID and copyright detection.

Honestly, I’m very skeptical about this part. From what I’ve seen, a lot of experienced people say these simple editing tricks stopped working a long time ago. Some even say that even paid video “uniquifiers” are unreliable, especially with well-known content.

1. Once a long video or Short starts going viral and hits around 100k–200k views, they either hide it or trim it. I don’t fully understand what they mean by “trim it,” so maybe someone here can explain that part.
2. They collect the revenue through a rented AdSense account.

Then they just repeat the cycle again and again.

According to them, the main upfront cost is only around $500–$2,000 to buy a monetized channel, and the profit can supposedly go up to $10k.

So my question to people here who actually know YouTube gray/black hat methods:

Is this genuinely possible in 2026, or is this just another fake guru story meant to build hype before selling useless methods/courses later?

I’d especially like to hear from people who have real experience with:

• bought monetized channels
• reused/edited copyrighted content
• Content ID behavior today
• whether hiding/deleting videos after they go viral changes anything
• rented AdSense setups

Its nonsense. You got it in one. Think about how much technology and budget youtube has to detect shit like this. You can't use legitimally a "rented" adsense account so that makes it a scam. Its really just big talk to make suckers belive in quick internet moniez magic.

There is more quick money to be made scamming noobs than there is building a youtube cracker basically. lol Its easier to tell everyone you have a youtube cracker, and get them to send you money and scam them. Nobody can crack yotuube in such a way realisitically and gurateneed every time with a stragety that doesn't involve quality/quantity/originality.

You need to be spending more time looking at the channels, that HAVE actually made it big on yotuube for legit reasons. And look at how long they have been in the game for and study their content. Yout probalem is your looking at probably fast scam accounts, with millions of views maybe from other peoples content.

You'll waste much time trying to find a magic formula, instead of the simple formula "Active interested engaged user" on youtube. Youtue pays for content. Thats what their business is. It requires YOU to make the content. Making content, and looking for loop holes are 2 different things. One works and one doesn't.
