[Journey] From $0 to… Hopefully Something – My OFM + AI Experiment

DAY 127 UPDATE

Another steady day. Nothing crazy, but solid progress across traffic and operations.

Revenue today: $412
New subs: 28
PPV sales: $196
Tips: $74

Traffic sources:
- Instagram still the main driver. One reel started picking up and crossed ~38k views which brought a noticeable bump in profile visits.
- Reddit slower today but still consistent. A couple posts landed on hot in mid-size subs which brought a few high-value spenders.
- TikTok testing continues, views are inconsistent but when one hits, it pushes decent IG traffic.

What worked today:
Story replies again proving to be underrated. Posted a simple poll + teasing story and replied to everyone who engaged. These conversations convert surprisingly well once you build a little rapport before mentioning the page.

Operations:
Chatter handled most of the DMs today which freed up a lot of time. I mostly monitored conversations and jumped in on a few VIP fans to keep that “personal” feel. Quality control matters a lot here.

Content:
Shot 6 new reels with the model today while batching content. This helps keep posting consistent without scrambling for content every day.

Small lesson today:
Consistency really compounds. None of the traffic sources are exploding individually, but when IG + Reddit + stories + PPV stack together, the daily numbers start looking much better.

Plan for tomorrow:
- push another batch of reels
- test 2 new subreddits
- continue optimizing story funnels
- start testing a slightly higher PPV price on a few fans to see elasticity

Slow grind, but the machine is getting smoother every week.

DAY 127
Wow! You only have AI models?

Wow! You only have AI models?
No, the main revenue comes from real models. I experimented with AI models a bit, but they’re more of a side test than the core of the operation.

Day 128 Update

Today was more about stability than big growth, but the system kept running smoothly.

Revenue
• Total: $437
• Subscriptions: $140
• PPV: $214
• Tips: $83

Subscribers
• New subs: 31
• Rebill rate: ~72%

Traffic Sources
• Instagram: ~64%
• Reddit: ~21%
• TikTok: ~10%
• Other: ~5%

Content Posted
• IG Reels: 3
• TikToks: 2
• Reddit posts: 8
• IG Stories: 7

Operations
Chatter covered most incoming messages today which kept response times low. I mainly stepped in for VIP fans and one custom request.

Observations
Older reels are still driving profile visits even after 10–14 days. This is starting to create a compounding effect where daily traffic doesn't depend only on new posts.

Story replies again proved to be one of the easiest ways to start warmer conversations before directing fans to the page.

Next Focus
• Continue consistent reel posting
• Test slightly higher PPV pricing on a small segment
• Warm 2 additional Reddit accounts
• Keep refining story funnels

Hello! First of all I wanted to say congrats! I have been reading your journey for the past two days it is not only inspiring but very interesting the ways you are explaining it all. I am almost tempted to try myself even if I am not sure if it is for me (a bit worried if I could do well with Instagram and other social media without using phones).

I have been wondering about few things you said. You seem to have a VIP tier on the OFs of your models but how does it work? Like any fan can become VIP after spending an amount or is it more like once you define a fan could be interested you propose them and they have to tip an amount each month to keep their VIP tier?

Also at some point you worked with a maximum of 4 models but now it looks like it is 2. I wonder what happened like if you considered to simply keep the most effective or simply well models can be not reliable and stop quite pretty quickly (something I have been wondering about myself. If you scale it is not a big deal but if you have only few models, it sounds a bit riskier for your revenues I guess). Still it seems now you are working with 2 but your revenues are stable, that's impressing and amazing!

I am curious about your strategy on OF. You said you look mainly for models with 1-5k followers, managing their own page and not fully active, well models who need your help in the end to grow in that business. But I know some models don't want to show their face (which is fine) but also just want to work without revealing much like outfits/lingerie. Do you consider it can be good enough or a waste of time?
Just like do you tend to publish on OF some suggestive content and then in private "going all in" (naked/hard content)? Or do you even go like topless or even naked when posting on OF and then trying to sell sets and more in pv? I know some models can be pretty comfortable with that content, just like some not at all.
And while I have no really experience in OF, I would tend to think models going naked in their feed are probably selling more because people then want more in custom or see "porn" content in PPV? But at the same time some models with specific niche or simply big fan whales can not reveal anything and tease forever while some people will be willing to pay a lot hoping they might see something.
So my question is more like do you use a specific strategy on OF for all your models or each model is different and you consider either they go fully naked or simply do soft content, it is all fine?

Anyway, keep up the good job:) I will keep following your thread, it is really gold even without starting an OF business, I feel plenty of your advices are really precious on how to manage social media/business and working on it each day properly.

Thanks, I appreciate the kind words, glad the thread has been useful

About the VIP tier, it’s not a fixed “subscription level.” It’s more of an internal segmentation. When a fan spends past a certain amount or shows strong engagement, we start treating them as VIP: more personal chats, occasional custom content offers, and sometimes exclusive PPVs. There isn’t usually a mandatory monthly tip to stay VIP, it’s more about relationship and spending behavior
Regarding models, yes, at one point I tested up to 4. Over time it naturally narrowed down. Some models lose interest, some become inconsistent with content, and sometimes the fit just isn’t great long term. Instead of forcing it, I kept the ones who were reliable and easy to work with. Two consistent models performing well is honestly better than five unstable ones.

On the content strategy, it really depends on the model. I don’t force a single approach for everyone. Some models are comfortable going more explicit, others prefer to stay softer with teasing or lingerie-style content. Both can work, it mostly comes down to the niche and how well the persona matches the audience. A lot of the time the feed stays suggestive while more explicit or personalized content is offered through PPV or customs, but again it varies per model.
About faceless or lingerie-only models, they can definitely work if the branding is clear and the niche is strong. Some audiences actually prefer teasing and mystery. What matters more is consistency, personality, and how well the content fits the character the model is presenting.

And regarding social media management without many phones, it’s doable, but it requires being careful with accounts and setups. Many people run multiple profiles safely with the right separation and slow growth.

Thanks again for following along, and you’re right that many of the lessons here apply to online business in general, not just this niche.

Day 129 Update

Today was another steady operational day. No major spikes, but the baseline continues to hold which is the main goal at this stage.

Revenue
• Total: $463
• Subscriptions: $152
• PPV: $231
• Tips: $80

Subscribers
• New subs: 33
• Rebill rate: ~70%

Traffic Sources
• Instagram: ~61%
• Reddit: ~23%
• TikTok: ~11%
• Other: ~5%

Content Posted
• IG Reels: 3
• TikToks: 3
• Reddit posts: 9
• IG Stories: 6

Operations
Chatter handled the majority of the conversations again today. Response time stayed under ~5 minutes which helps keep fans engaged. I stepped in mainly for a couple of higher spenders and one custom content request.

Observations
One reel from earlier this week crossed ~55k views today which brought a noticeable bump in profile visits. This keeps confirming that reels often take time to “wake up” rather than performing instantly.

Story interactions (polls + question stickers) continue to be one of the easiest ways to start warm conversations before directing fans to the page.

Next Focus
• Keep posting reels consistently
• Test a slightly higher PPV price tier for VIP fans
• Continue warming additional Reddit accounts
• Batch record more short-form content for the coming days

Day 130 Update

Day 130 was a very “operator mode” day. Nothing explosive happened, but everything kept running exactly how it should.

Revenue
• Total: $482
• Subscriptions: $161
• PPV: $246
• Tips: $75

Subscribers
• New subs: 36
• Rebill rate: ~71%

Traffic Sources
• Instagram: ~63%
• Reddit: ~20%
• TikTok: ~12%
• Other: ~5%

Content Posted
• IG Reels: 4
• TikToks: 2
• Reddit posts: 10
• IG Stories: 8

Operations
Chatter covered most of the DMs again which keeps response times fast. I stepped in for a few VIP conversations and one custom request. Delegation is starting to feel very smooth now.

Observations
A reel posted two days ago crossed ~70k views today and started bringing a steady stream of profile visits. This again confirms that reels often perform in waves rather than instantly.

Reddit traffic was smaller today but one spender purchased multiple PPVs which balanced the numbers.

Focus for tomorrow
• Continue consistent posting schedule
• Test a new reel hook format
• Push more story engagement (polls/questions)
• Keep warming new Reddit accounts slowly

Consistency still wins. The system is doing most of the work now.

Hey again shijin, you inspired me to document my own journey. Thanks for that.

Can I ask you how do you do the banking / taxing side of the business? Is your model from your same country? Who is in charge of the main of account in terms of the payout?
I signed my first model and Im lost in that part. She and I are both euro based, living in different countries, and neither of us have the nationalities of the countries we are living in,

Do you only have paid pages on OF?

Can you explain how you managed to find new models on IG to write to them?
Yes, I mainly run paid pages. I tested free pages early on, but paid pages filter the audience better and the fans tend to spend more once they’re inside.
For finding models on IG, I keep it pretty manual and targeted. I search in niches where girls already post suggestive content (lingerie, cosplay, gym, alt, etc.), usually in the 1k–10k follower range. Then I check a few things before messaging:
  • They look like they run the account themselves (personal captions, story replies, no “contact my manager”).
  • They’re consistent but not fully optimized (meaning there’s room to grow).
  • Engagement looks real.
After that I just send a short, simple DM about helping with monetization/traffic on a rev-share basis. The key is volume and targeting the right profiles rather than sending long pitches.

Nice, glad the thread pushed you to start documenting.
On the payments side, the cleanest setup is usually having the model own the OF account (since it’s their identity/content anyway). OF then pays out directly to them through their payout method, and you take your share separately based on whatever rev-share agreement you have
Most people handle it in a few common ways:
1.Model receives the payout → sends your percentage via bank transfer/crypto/payment processor.
2. Or you operate through a registered company/agency setup and invoice the model for your share.
Since you’re both in different EU countries, the simplest early setup is usually the first option (model gets paid → sends your cut). Just make sure you both keep clear records of revenue and payouts for tax reporting.

For taxes, it depends on where you’re fiscally resident. In general:
1.The model declares their OF income as self-employment/creator income.
2.You declare your share as service/marketing/management income.

Long term, many people eventually move to a company structure once revenue grows because it makes accounting and contracts cleaner.
If you’re unsure, it’s honestly worth talking to an accountant familiar with online creator businesses, especially since cross-border EU rules can vary.

Day 131 Update

Another calm, system-driven day. No major spikes, but the baseline keeps holding which is exactly what I want at this stage.

Chatter handled the majority of conversations again today which kept response times fast. I stepped in mainly for VIP fans and one custom request.

Observations
One older reel crossed ~80k views today and brought a noticeable wave of profile visits. It’s becoming clearer that IG content often compounds over time rather than performing instantly.

Story replies (polls + questions) continue to generate the warmest leads before directing people to the page.

Next Focus
• Keep consistent reel posting
• Test a slightly different hook style tomorrow
• Continue warming new Reddit accounts slowly
• Batch more short-form content

Day 127 with $412 is really good progress. The fact that story replies are warming leads better than reels makes sense, people are already in a conversation mindset there. Are you doing mostly manual outreach still or has any of it been automated?
Still mostly manual. I’ve tested a bit of automation for drafts and filtering messages, but the actual conversations stay manual because it keeps the tone natural and converts better, especially with story replies where the interaction already feels personal.

Day 132 Update

Solid operational day. Nothing explosive, but the baseline continues to hold and traffic stayed healthy across the main channels.

Observations
A reel posted earlier this week crossed ~92k views and brought a noticeable spike in profile visits today. This continues to confirm that reels often perform in waves rather than instantly.

Story engagement (polls + quick replies) remains one of the highest converting entry points into DMs before directing users to the page.

Next Focus
• Continue consistent reel posting schedule
• Test a different first-second hook style
• Warm 2 more Reddit accounts slowly
• Record another batch of short-form clips

After that I just send a short, simple DM about helping with monetization/traffic on a rev-share basis. The key is volume and targeting the right profiles rather than sending long pitches.
But how have you managed to find only new OF models? My new Instagram account only features really popular videos, but I’d like to find girls who’d be interested in my offer;

By the way, what percentage do you give your models?

I don’t rely on the IG feed much, I search manually in niches (lingerie, gym, cosplay, alt, etc.) and then check profiles around the 1k–10k follower range that post suggestive content and seem to run their page themselves. Those are usually the ones open to monetization help.
For the split, it depends on how much I handle, but typically around 30–50% to me on a rev-share basis.

Day 133 Update

Another stable day. Nothing crazy happened, but the system kept producing which is the most important part right now.

keep it up really nice! what is your conversion on of?
and do you mind sharing what you put in the of bio? (dont have to be every exact word)
but do you think a simple small bio is better or one where also lists of things you offer are there?

Conversion usually sits around 25–35% free → paid, but what matters more is how many of those actually spend after, that’s where most of the money comes from.
For the bio, keep it short and curiosity-driven, not a long list. Something like:
  • who she is (persona)
  • what kind of vibe/content
  • a soft tease (“I’m more active in DMs”, “I send the real stuff privately ”)
Long “menu-style” bios tend to convert worse upfront, better to reveal offers inside chat where it feels personal.
