Aged Facebook page vs new page for reels growth

Old or new page doesn’t matter that much tbh, it’s mostly about whether your content can hold attention.
If you’re posting consistently but getting low views, it’s probably the hook isn’t strong enough or people are scrolling away early.

Is it better to use an aged page or a new page for reels growth?
I am posting reels consistently but not getting views. Does page age matter or is it all about content and engagement?
Would appreciate any advice.
From my experience, page age does help a little, but it’s not the main factor for Reels growth. I’ve seen new pages still get good reach if the content performs well. If you’re not getting views, it’s usually about weak hooks, low retention, or lack of engagement in the first few seconds. So in most cases, content and engagement matter much more than whether the page is new or aged.

Page age matters a bit, but it’s not the main factor.
I’ve seen brand new pages get good reach on Reels if the content is strong.
If you’re not getting views, it’s usually:
  • weak hook in first 2–3 seconds
  • low retention
  • or content not matching audience interest
Old page can help with trust and initial push, but content still decides everything.

An old page can increase credibility when buyers visit your sales page, but the distribution rate is not affected by the page's age; it depends more on the video content.

Content is important. Using a new page is better because you'll be building your desired audience from scratch. If you use older pages with existing followers, those followers might not be interested in the content you post, which lowers your page's quality score and leads to your posts not being recommended.

Page age on Meta has an influence, but it's not the deciding factor. Older pages have the advantage of initial credibility and engagement, but Reels still rely heavily on content, especially the hook and the ability to retain viewers. Therefore, new pages can still get good views if the videos are engaging enough, while older pages with weak content will still struggle to achieve high view counts.

Content plus academic luck are the core elements that gradually lead to a successful page. We are operating many new pages with different content, a 50-50 ratio; some pages have quite popular content that easily reaches trends, but others don't even have 10 interactions.

old page can help you in the initial but in the long run, content is the most important thing
new page will still get good engagement if you promote it properly

Reels views primarily depend on content quality and initial engagement, so both new and established pages can achieve high view counts if the content is engaging and posts are done regularly.

I think that whether it's new or old, the important thing is the quality of your content. It seems that new sites will be prioritized for better distribution.

Page age doesn’t matter much for Facebook Reels. Growth mostly depends on watch time, strong hooks, and engagement. Even a new page can go viral if the content keeps people watching. Focus on retention and consistency rather than page age.

aged page can help a bit with trust, but reels growth is mostly about content + engagement, new pages can still blow up if content is good.

The content of the video itself plays a bigger role — its relevance, the triggers that capture the viewer’s attention, and similar factors. The age of the page is unlikely to play a major role here. It would be better to dive deeper into the overall approach. Look at what your competitors who are performing well are doing differently, and analyze why your results are not the same.

An old website might build trust when buyers first visit your online store, but in the long run, fresh content is the most important factor.

I think the age of the page won't affect things much; what matters most is the content of your posts. Having creative content that can attract viewers and increase engagement on those posts is key.

The old site only offered a slight advantage, while on Meta, Reels still depend primarily on content and interaction.

Page age doesn't matter; on MetaReels, views are primarily generated through content and initial engagement.

Whether it's a new or old page doesn't significantly affect views; it depends on the content and creativity of the article. You need to create engaging content to retain readers and generate interaction.
