Do you actually follow google ads auto recommendations?

Just curious about this in my account i keep getting many auto recommendations like changing bidding strategy, adding keywords, increasing budget etc.
Do you guys acutely apply these or mostly ignore the?
Some times i feel they just push for higher spend what your experiences?

I still consider using suggested keywords. However, overusing them can increase costs significantly without delivering good results. Setting keywords manually helps manage the budget more effectively.

Ignore 90% of them, they're designed to increase your spend not your ROI. The only ones worth considering are occasionally the negative keyword suggestions, everything else benefits Google more than you.

Honestly most of those auto recommendations are designed to increase spend more than improve performance, so I usually review them but rarely apply everything blindly. yeah i learned this the hard way last year. had a lead gen campaign doing about $4.50 per lead, applied the recommended broad match expansion and budget increase and within a week my CPL shot up to like $11. now i only look at the negative keyword suggestions and maybe the ad asset ones, everything else is basically google trying to get you to spend more.

Most advertisers don’t apply them automatically in Google Google Ads.

• Bidding changes: only test if you have enough conversion data.
• Add keywords: review first, many are too broad.
• Increase budget: usually ignore unless the campaign is already profitable.

In general: treat them as suggestions, not actions to apply blindly.

Yeah, I’ve gotten those auto recommendtions too. Sometimes they can be helpful, especialy for improving ad performance, but honestly, I feel like they mostly push for higher spend. I usually check if the recomendation really fits my goals before applying it. Most of the time, I ignore them if they don’t make sense or if the suggested changes would increase my budget unnecessaily. It’s all about testing and seeing what works for your account.

If it's about improving the quality of your ad or adding relevant keywords, it's worth considering the recommendation (but don't blindly follow it). But almost everything related to budgets and bidding strategies is an attempt to make you spend more money
