I've been doing a lot of testing the last 3 months on CTR and referral traffic for ranking. Ask me any questions you have and I'll answer them.

The best strategy to get from page 3-10 is to spoof social referral traffic. Once you hit page 1-2 add branded + keyword searches. Once you hit page 1 add in your keyword searches. And once you hit top 3 use a system like push/pull to pogostick the websites above you and send negative traffic signals like high bounce rate (5-25 second visits) before clicking and going to your website and spending 5-10 minutes clicking around on your inner pages.

This one I had to outrank a reddit thread. And the only way I was able to do it was with pogosticking the reddit thread.bhwworld.png

Another thing to be aware of. If it doesn't show up in Google analytics that means it's not working.

Interesting. Did you notice stronger movement from SERP CTR improvements or from external referral traffic? Curious which one seemed to influence rankings more in your tests.

What type of proxies did you use? I can see this becoming extremely expensive to do.

And how are you emulating human traffic? Like surely you aren't doing like:
"xxxx keyword" and going straight to apge 3 to click on your own website right? It just looks fishy or nah?

I actually avoid using Google Analytics for these reasons. I don’t want to give Google any reason reasons to not move my sites up.
Hard to tell if on site metrics really matter, like pages visited, time spent on page, etc and the ones that do like CTR google tracks it themselves on their search engine page i guess

Can you tell me what tools you used? Let me know which ones worked and which ones didn't.
Lightning Fast Software. Every other one I tested didn't work.

External to get you up to page 1-2 and then CTR to move up from there.

Mobile and Residential. I normally do referral traffic past page 2. Then on page 1-2 do CTR. You can also do branded + keywords which will make you show up on page 1 for the keywords you are doing CTR on.

In my experience using GA itself is a ranking factor. But if it works for you without it, that's fine.

I've tested high bounce rate and the websites will drop. Low bounce rate and the pages go up. So I think it does matter. Google also has documentation on this.
Can u clarify what you mean by spoofing social ref traffic?
You send traffic to the website or video and make it look like it came from reddit, facebook, quora, instagram, tiktok.

Here is a new one with social traffic spoofed.

Interesting.

What route do you take when rankings drop?

Do they sustain rankings after you stop spoofing?
Also what proxy provider u recommend?
If you do it long enough they do. Mobile or Residential are fine.
Interesting.

What route do you take when rankings drop?
Sometimes I stop the traffic a few days and then turn it back on. Or make other adjustments like more or less traffic.

Are you seeing actual ROI from this?
Yes, of course.

Are you seeing actual ROI from this?
Same ROI you would get with any tactic. When you move the rankings up to the top 3. Or when I get paid for results. Going from #50 to #10 the clients are happy to double the budget on certain projects.

Another thing that I have noticed is that it triggers a ton of the AI overview results. Even if the website isn't on page 1.

LightningfastSoftware appears to be your creation. This site offers no description or guarantees. Furthermore, if you're not a Jr.VIP member, who will be held responsible if you buy something and end up disappointed? The website doesn't even explain how it works; it simply lists the name and price. Is this a trustworthy service?

The OP has been discussing ctr manipulation on BHW for over 4 years. In all of the discussions he seems to be doing nothing more than offering helpful advice.

Back in 2023 he was recommending "aiva ctr" software: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/any-good-ctr-software-recommendations.1528270/

It appears to me he's just being helpful and offering his expertise for free.

The "external referral traffic" from social media, I'm assuming this is something like having links from twitter, facebook, youtube ... following that link with a proxy in a browser. The software does this for you? Do you see it in action, is it something you could replicate yourself with playwright or selenium if you know how to automate browsers?

Do that until page 1 or 2 then send good metrics to your own site with actual visits, and pogostick off of competitor sites. Are you doing this with logged-in browser sessions each with their own profiles, or that doesn't matter? I've always assumed good CTR manipulation required actual google accounts that are signed in.

Can you describe how you get the social referral traffic? Do you post links on social media and then have the software click thru the link to your site or is it more simple than that? Also would appreciate it if you could share your proxy provider :) the ones i've tried before for CTR manipulation never worked.

Yes, of course.

Interesting interpretation of ROI o_O

You don't have to buy anything. Go build your own bots and copy these strategies.

Just sharing what I have tested.

Yes, you can replicate it yourself. You don't need accounts, if you have aged cookies.

You can do it that way or you can spoof it.

When you've been doing SEO long enough you know that once you hit top 3 is when you actually start making money from the rankings. 5-10 you might as well be on page 2-3-4. So my interpretation is I get to top 3 and start making money when money starts coming in. Or the clients pay me $5000 instead of $2500 a month to increase their rankings more. Once they've had another SEO tell them it was going to take 3 months to increase the rankings and I do it in a few weeks. Not sure what's so interesting about it. Seems like a simple explanation to me.

What does aged cookies mean? A cookie from having been logged into the social media site you're getting a link from, or from Google? A cookie from at one time in the past having logged in, so in the beginning an account is required, but later it is not?
