Are links to news articles allowed in Instagram discussions?

Hi everyone,

I have a quick question about the forum rules. For example for https://www.blackhatworld.com/forums/instagram.215/ thread.

If we are discussing new Instagram features or updates (for example something new seen in the mobile app), is it allowed to reference or link to news websites or tech articles as a source of information?

Sometimes new features appear first in tech news or social media news sites, so it could be useful to mention those sources during discussions. I just want to make sure this is allowed and doesn’t break any rules.

I couldn’t find a clear answer about this, so I thought it would be better to ask first.

That's generally fine.

Linking to a relevant tech or news article as a source is perfectly fine if it helps and adds context to the discussion.

The main thing is relevance and intent.

If the link is clearly being used as a source of information, that’s fine.

If it's posted mainly to promote or advertise a website, then it wouldn't be allowed.
