I’m planning to run Reddit ads to sell discounted accounts such as ChatGPT Plus, Spotify, Netflix, etc. However, from what I understand, these kinds of products might violate Reddit’s policies.
If I run ads promoting these products, is there a risk that my Reddit account could get banned or penalized in any way?

Yes — running Reddit ads for discounted accounts like ChatGPT Plus, Spotify, or Netflix can absolutely get your ads rejected or your account banned, especially if the accounts are resold or violate the original platform’s terms.

You can't promote them directly but you may lead customers to your landing page through obscure ads.

Short answer: Yes, definitely. Reddit is extremely aggressive towards 'gray market' services right now. Even if you don't get an instant shadowban, tools like BotBouncer will flag your account for 'inauthentic activity' during human reviews. Once you have that footprint, you're basically dead in most high-quality subreddits
