Looking for experiences and recommendations regarding buying Trustpilot reviews. How safe is it to buy Trustpilot reviews, and what are the recommended services for doing so? Has anyone tried this, and what were your results?

As far as I'm aware, such services / discussions are no longer allowed on BHW - recent change.

Someone may correct me, but that's my understanding.

Yes, some people buy Trustpilot reviews and it can help increase ratings quickly. Just make sure it’s done carefully to avoid issues.

really?, I didnt come to BHW for a long time, would you mind explaining that change?

BHW is against it now, you won't find review sellers here anymore.

Very recent - apparently after seeking legal advice or something along those lines. It's because fake reviews have become mainstream news recently so they enforce such things on "hot topics" that might attract attention. I can only speak for UK law, but fake reviews & services have been illegal since April 2025. The ban on such services here didn't happen until Feb 2026 - and that will without doubt, have been because a third party organisation/governance/enforcement etc contacted BHW to highlight the sale of such services. Hence the following;

The "after taking legal advice", message and clear disclaimers that accompanied it were because they had come under pressure to cease. It wasn't legal advice on the legality of fake reviews - or "after a review of updated UK consumer regulation", they knew that , obviously - there's many threads on BHW about it being outlawed since April '25. It was legal advice sought about how to handle the complaint/notification/message they received. It certainly wasn't BHW just deciding off their own backs to chat to lawyers about something they already knew. That's fact, and don't let anyone convince you otherwise.

Similar services/discussions which aren't enforced (but still illegal) are typically overlooked. Such as this 6 year old marketplace thread selling mass/cold emailing: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/e...cold-mass-mailing-scale-up-your-leads.1198612 advertising a key selling point of ignoring spam complaints in point 10;

The privacy and elec. comms act 2003 outlawed such services (Source). But it's old news and won't bring heat so it's allowed.

Same goes for threads like this one; https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/g...ik-envato-elements-vecteezy-requests.1706382/

Legally, it's intellectual property theft, data infringement etc. But relatively speaking these are small companies. You'll notice that if someone was to post a thread violating the same laws, but offering a nulled/free service from a "big player", it would be closed before anyone had chance to reply.

Don't get me wrong, I like BHW as a community and I understand the reasons for picking and choosing - but it does make the 200+ page rule and subsections for what is/isn't allowed completely redundant. Use it as a rough guide to what's allowed so you don't get reprimanded, but certainly don't treat it as gospel. Each & every rule bends one way or the other - at least for Marketplace threads & dodgy services - to some degree - based on cirumstance.

Buying reviews is risky because platforms like Trustpilot actively detect and remove fake feedback.
Accounts or listings can get flagged if patterns look unnatural.

Since it is against site policy i won't name any. However a friend (USA) went through several and was questioning the value against time and money spent. There are some sites that list and review these services.

Reviews on Trustpilot must come from real customer experiences; using inauthentic reviews can lead to them being removed or your business profile receiving a warning.

From what I’ve seen the biggest risk isn’t the purchase itself but how the reviews are delivered.

If a lot of reviews suddenly appear from similar profiles or IP locations, Trustpilot can flag the account and remove them. That’s why many businesses focus more on getting real customer feedback instead of pushing large batches at once.

Slow and natural growth usually attracts less attention from moderation systems.

BlackHatworld made pretty recent changes to their policy on getting that; go and check there TOS so you have an idea before you get any reviews.

This is because it's against FTC guidelines to sell fake reviews now. BHW may have been contacted and took action. Alternatively TrustPilot legal team likely reached out to them.

Not recommended to buy these as well because the reviewer could blackmail you and get your page flagged if they report it. Best to just encourage your good customers to leave positive reviews.

They also appear banned or removed on TrustPilot.

They are safe when you choose the right partner, fundamentally, the evaluation must be done manually, not by machines, and the platform will detect it using artificial intelligence.

Short answer: **it’s possible but not safe**, and most experienced marketers avoid it because the risks are pretty high.

**1. It violates Trustpilot rules**
Trustpilot has a strict policy against fake or paid reviews. If they detect manipulation, they can remove the reviews, restrict features, or even suspend the entire business profile.

**2. Detection is getting much stronger**
Trustpilot uses automated systems that analyze IP addresses, devices, content patterns, and reviewer behavior to detect fake activity. Millions of suspicious reviews are removed every year through these systems.

**3. There can also be legal risk**
In several countries, paying for fake reviews is considered deceptive marketing. Regulators like the U.S. FTC and new laws in places like the UK treat fake testimonials as illegal and can issue heavy fines.

**4. Real experiences from marketers**
On marketing forums and Reddit, many people say it might give a short-term rating boost but often backfires when reviews get removed or the profile gets flagged.

> “Buying Trustpilot reviews can get your account flagged or banned.”

✅ **What most businesses do instead (safer approach):**

* Send automated review requests after a purchase
* Use Trustpilot’s official email invite system
* Ask happy customers for feedback naturally
* Fix service issues to generate real positive reviews

**Realistic takeaway:**
Buying reviews exists, but it’s risky and unstable. In reputation management, **10–50 real reviews from genuine customers are usually more valuable than 200 fake ones** because they survive moderation and build long-term trust.

If you want, I can also show you **how agencies actually grow Trustpilot ratings safely (the method many SaaS companies use)**.

It's too risky because they could flag you. I've seen alot of sites flagged. I'm not sure what is worse. Being flagged and having your fake reviews removed or not being flagged and have a bad rating.

Yes you are correct; they are no longer sold in bhw as most of them were scams.

From what I’ve seen it’s pretty risky. Trustpilot has become much stricter over the last couple of years. A lot of paid reviews get filtered or removed, especially if they come from new accounts or follow obvious patterns. Even if they stay up at first, they can still disappear later during manual checks. That’s why many people stopped relying on freelancers for this

If you need Trustpilot reviews, go to Fourerr and search for the seller: Buy_Reviews
I bought from him - he does solid work and re-writes any reviews that get deleted later. Pretty reliable and fast.
Worked well for me.

I’d be careful with that. Buying Trustpilot reviews is against their rules and usually ends with reviews getting removed or accounts flagged from what I’ve seen, it’s not really “safe” long-term. Better to focus on getting real reviews, even if it’s slower
