all exchanges are scams, what are you on about, the safest ones are cold hardware wallets

Sorry for your loss but Kraken actually announced the delisting months in advance. Trading and deposits for KINT were disabled on Nov 6, 2025, and withdrawals stayed open until Jan 22, 2026. After that, Kraken clearly stated that remaining balances would be liquidated on Jan 23, 2026.

If you still had KINT on the exchange after that date, it means you missed the withdrawal window, so the liquidation is exactly what they said would happen.

And dude even if the coin hadn’t been delisted, your €5000 would be worth about 265.90 USDT by now :/

They should indeed email holders of the affected coins before delisting them. Are you sure you didn’t receive an email about this in mid 2025?

That being said, I have been a long-term user of Kraken and have never had any issues with it whatsoever. I mostly deal with BTC/USDT though, and I don’t keep large amounts on Kraken or any other exchange (not your keys, not your coins).

i don’t understand what you mean by that

Use the multi-quote feature .

A really sad news..was that some sort of rugg pull or the developers went down

why they liquidate when price is 2 usd for the entire balance i had of 30,443.06276 KINT why not liquidate me when price is 20k for the sane amount of coins ?! good question!!! let me guess.??? they re scam scheme

Leave them a review on Trustpilot they are active there. Explain that you didn't receive any delisting email / notification about the coin you were holding and that it was liquidated without prior notice.

I get where you’re coming from, but exchanges actually can do this. The only thing they can’t do is fail to communicate with holders before taking action. Binance, Coinbase, and many other major exchanges have delisted and liquidated coins in the past.

The reason they can’t keep the coin indefinitely is because once an asset is delisted, the exchange stops supporting that blockchain and wallet infrastructure. Maintaining wallets, nodes, and security for a coin that no longer meets their standards is costly and creates compliance and technical risks.

That’s why exchanges give a withdrawal window. If users miss that deadline, they finish the final stage of the delisting process, which is liquidating the remaining balances.

I’m not sure what happened since I’d never heard of this coin before that post. The project still exists, but its market cap is only about $32K, so it likely just no longer met Kraken’s liquidity/performance standards, which is why it was delisted.

That a lot of money, you really need to get justice.

The coin dropped about 94.7% since OP purchased it, so even if he gets his coins back, they would be worth roughly €245, not €5000.

they must assume at the start when list a coin! this is no excuses ? they can keep fictive amount in holders balance after delisting , and they can personally keep full balance in to a separed wallet pool , when holders ask for withdraw , to be able to send theyr coins balance back ! simple no necessarily to keep on exchange !

but it no matter price that s my asset , is my property, is ok if i m taking your house i give you 2 usd in bank , and after 1 year that house value is 200.000 ? is that ok?

Didn't they just mailed this to you? They stated that this coin is going to be delisted.

let’s say i m going in justice opening a court case , and that coin riches old time high 1 usd per coin means .30 milons usd in my balance , i can ask the judges to pay me when coin riches all time hights!!!

Well as previoudly been stated by other users if the coin has been delisted and price is like -95% percent by the time you bought, I really doubt that the coin has any future.
A common rule in crypto for me is always risk what you can afford to lose since things are too volatile, and especially if you mess with exchanges and not having your own wallet.

From what i have read on the overall of this topic, you have some right and in my opinion have some wrongs too, one of them being not holding your coins on an external wallet.
But still with the price decreased so much it would make much of a difference but atleast you would still have your coins other than being liquidated.
Sad to hear that mate, hope in future things turn better for you

Kraken is not a scam. It is one of the most legitimate and secure cryptocurrency exchanges in the world.
Following information, I am copy/pasting it from my online research AFTER verifying that the below are all true and correct :-

""" It holds multiple licenses globally, including: United States: Registered as a Money Services Business with FinCEN and holds a Wyoming-chartered bank license through its subsidiary, Kraken Financial. United Kingdom: Authorized by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). European Union: Complies with MiCA regulations and is registered in multiple member states like Ireland, Italy, and Spain """.

As @RoboTech mentioned, you missed the withdrawal window. We do feel the pain. Let it be a learning curve. I am sure we all have gone through such situations and then learnt to remain alert and updated.

if you getting my story normal and honest ! i just hope god will bleas your thinking… before texting like this , let me give you 2$ for your car because you let it window opened you missed with window opened

It's a harsh lesson to learn but never leave your crypto in exchanges, this is a well known rule of crypto. Unless it is in a personal wallet, it isn't your crypto. It can be hacked, delisted, phished, anything.

Let it be a lesson and move on. In a year you won't even care

Always keep your coins in hardware wallets. That's the general rule to avoid situations like these.
