Hello everyone,

I'd like to ask the SEO experts here.

I'm currently trying to rank a page with the keyword **G9KING**. The page I'm optimizing is:

https://www.binboserver.com/g9king/

Currently, this page is indexed by Google and occasionally appears in search results, but it's still not consistently at the top.

My questions are:

1. Can a page like this still rank higher for the keyword **G9KING**?
2. Is it necessary to add supporting articles or backlinks from forums and blogs?
3. For competitive brand keywords like this, what strategies are usually most effective?

I would greatly appreciate any advice or brief analysis from the experts.

Thank you in advance.

yeah it can still rank higher, brand style keywords like that are usually winnable unless the SERP is dominated by the official site or big authority domains.
right now the bigger question is authority. a single page rarely climbs consistently without support. google likes seeing a bit of topical context around it.
i’d add a few supporting pages around that keyword cluster and internally link them to the main page. that strengthens relevance. on top of that, some external signals help too. a few contextual backlinks from blogs or forums can reinforce the page and make rankings more stable instead of appearing randomly.

Thanks man, haha. Sorry, I’ve been busy exploring the affiliate VPN and eSIM space recently.

Really appreciate the mention as always.
exploration is fun, so no problem :)

1. Can a page like this still rank higher for the keyword **G9KING**?

I wouldn’t say no, but honestly I do have some doubts.

I checked the keyword in Indonesia, since I’m assuming that’s your target market. From what I usually see in SEA SERPs, brand keywords are rarely won just by relying on forum-style signals alone.

In most cases, the better move is to build a strong dedicated landing page around the brand and make the entity as clear as possible. Google should easily understand that your page is specifically about G9KING, not just a random page trying to rank for the keyword.

So yes, the page may still improve, but for more stable rankings I’d focus on entity building + a proper landing page + supporting pages + backlinks, instead of putting too much weight on forum strategy alone.

2) Do you need supporting articles or backlinks?

In most cases, yes.

For brand terms, a single page is often not enough unless the domain itself is already very strong. The exception is when a thread or post gets a lot of real activity, like on Reddit or active forums, where Google may favor it because of freshness and ongoing engagement.

For your case, I’d suggest building a few supporting articles and testing some quality backlinks or guest posts first, then watching how the SERP responds.

3) What works best for competitive brand keywords?

Usually, the most effective strategy is a combination of:
  • strong on-page optimization for the exact brand keyword and close variations
  • clear entity signals so Google understands your page is highly relevant to that brand
  • supporting content around login, register, bonus, app, review, etc.
  • relevant backlinks and brand mentions from external sources
  • trust signals like helpful content, good structure, freshness, and a stronger domain profile
  • E-E-A-T, meaning the page should look like it was created by someone who actually knows the brand, understands the user intent, and provides useful, trustworthy information instead of thin keyword-focused content

And yes, in the iGaming industry, backlinks are still one of the biggest ranking factors. But you need to build them smartly, not just spam links

Ranking for a brand keyword should be one of the easiest SEO wins because you have almost no competition for a unique brand name. If you are struggling to rank consistently for G9KING, here are the likely issues and how to fix them:

1. Build entity signals around the brand name - Google needs to understand that G9KING is a real brand. Create consistent profiles across major platforms using the exact brand name: Google Business Profile, LinkedIn company page, Crunchbase, social media profiles, etc. The more places Google sees this brand name associated with the same website, the faster it connects them.

2. Get the brand name mentioned on external sites - Press releases, guest posts, forum mentions, directory listings. Each external mention of G9KING linking back to your domain reinforces the brand-domain association.

3. Use schema markup properly - Add Organization schema on your homepage with the brand name, logo, same-as links to your social profiles, and founding details. This helps Google build a knowledge panel for your brand.

4. Internal linking with the brand name as anchor text - Throughout your website, link back to your homepage or brand page using the brand name naturally.

5. Title tag optimization - Make sure your homepage title tag starts with the brand name: G9KING followed by a brief description.

6. Build a few quality backlinks specifically to the page you want to rank - Even 5-10 relevant backlinks from decent sites should be enough to lock in position one for a unique brand keyword.

I have done this for my own brands in the travel space and it typically takes 2-4 weeks to dominate page one for a unique brand keyword once you have the entity signals in place. The key is consistency across all platforms.
