SEO/Affiliate journey from 6000 $/month to 10,000 $/month

@pleb1 Thanks for the answer! Another issue is finding relevant affiliate networks in each country unless you're mostly using Amazon? I also know spanish so I may give spanish a try actually.

Will maybe buy 2 domains and try on portuguese and spanish. I assume you use the domains of each country ur targetting? Or you go with .com?

Hey man sorry for late response. Been very busy with work + social life latelry.

In terms of affiliate programs, I'd just use whatever competititon use. If they use Amazon, it's a reason for that.

And yes, I always pick local domains (.es/.pt).

The Spanish and Portuguese affiliate market is actually really interesting because commission rates from Amazon and other networks are often the same as English content but competition is much lower. If you already know Spanish the barrier to entry is minimal.

For domain TLD, .com usually performs best for international but local country domains like .es or .com.br can rank faster in those markets for local search queries. Worth testing both in parallel if the content is solid.

Interesting insights! I agree with you - the competition in certain south-european markets are almost...shocking.

Especially now after all the Google Updates have made 90 % of people quit SEO/affiliate.

I did a bit of research but at least for portugal keyword traffic is absolutely atrocious, the only keywords with even 100-1000/month in traffic are keywords that already have tons of people targetting them, kinda rough.

I'll look into spanish keywords though.

We landed at 7264 USD in March.

Niche #1 sucked. That was the main problem.

Doing hard work to get it up to 10k USD in April or May.

I'm struggling with my health a bit now, but will do a better breakdown niche-by-niche later on.

Target reached! We’ve made 10,000 USD/month for the first time on this project in August.

I haven’t calculated 100 % today, but two days ago (30th August) , I saw that we had already exceeded our income target.

First of all, sorry for not updating this thread more often. I’ve been busy expanding my business a lot – with great results.

I won’t go into very specific details on how we managed to reach 10k, but I can say it was a combination of:

#1) Expanding into a couple of new niches where I saw our competitors had received Google spam penalty. Quick wins where we could get to first place on several juicy keywords within days/weeks.

#2) Always updating the articles with the best commissioned products. And also check if products are out of stock.

#3) Communcation with the advertisers. We received premium commission across several webshops, which made us increase the EPC and income without necessarily getting more traffic/affiliate clicks.

Now…this might probably be might last journey on Blackhatworld. I’ve done 3 successful ones and I think I’ll “build in private” from now on. ;)

Open to questions of course and might pop by to this forum once in a while.

Great journey!

I have a question on link building. Do you buy links for your sites? If you do what type of links do you buy and which service are you using? If you buy links, how much does it cost you?
