Hello
I am getting a lot of traffic on GA4 from China and Singapore , even tho my business is in the UAE.
Are these scraping bots? CTR manipulation?

Ghost spam in GA4, not negative SEO.
If rankings didn't drop you're fine.
Just filter that garbage out by hostname and move on.

Its a new website on an older domain of mine so I cannot really meassure traffic and ranking since I do not have enough data

Then check GSC, not GA4. If those hits aren't showing as real impressions/clicks in Search Console, it's 100% bot noise.

The bots from Singapore and Lanzhou have been hammering sites for months, probably for AI training purposes. Google knows about it, there are some steps to filter for reports if needed: https://support.google.com/analytics/thread/378622882?hl=en&msgid=386642885

If your business is UAE-focused and you’re suddenly seeing spikes from China and Singapore, it’s very likely bot or crawler traffic. check engagement rate, session duration, and landing pages in GA4, bots usually have near-zero interaction.

Most likely bot or spam traffic check engagement rate and session duration to confirm.

most likely its bot traffic. GA4 picks up fake hits from random countries all the time

dont panic unless rankings start dropping or spammy links appear

No, negative SEO is different from this. These are most likely data harvesters. Are you using cloudflare? If you don't need traffic from there, just block countries by IP.

It looks like bot traffic from China and Singapore rather than real users. Check for low session duration, high bounce, or repeated IPs. You can filter these in GA4 or use server-level blocking if needed.

These are bots. Right now there is active AI bot training traffic coming from Singapore and China.

You can block their access to your website, and I recommend doing it as soon as possible. Otherwise, Google might not understand what’s happening and could interpret it as artificial traffic or behavioral signal manipulation.

That could negatively affect your site.

Most of the time it’s just bot or crawler traffic hitting the site, not necessarily negative SEO. This happens a lot in GA4, especially from random countries.

Filtering bot traffic and checking server logs usually clears up the confusion.

Same here. In order of milions. Just use cloudflare. I've redirected all singapore/china traffic to smartlinks :))

Bots, training AI...
These sorts of useless replies suggest to me either you didn't read @Steptoe's reply or you thought "Let's stick what he said through ChatGPT and add one to my post count".

You're all now on my radar. Well done.
