I have a site which completely got deindexed from Google. Currently some pages are indexed on bing . Is it expected that bing will also not completely deindex the website ?

No, bing’s algorithms and penalties differ. However, if the root issue isn’t fixed, Bing may gradually reduce or remove indexing as well.

They don't de-index just de-rank heavily in my experience, maybe except for very weird long tail keywords

how do you know your site is deindexed? Do you have it linked to google search console? If so check to see Security & manual actions tab to see if anything shows up. Also when you type site:sitename.com in google search does your site show up?

Google and Bing use completely separate ranking algorithms, so a Google penalty does not automatically trigger a Bing deindexation.If your site was hit by a specific Google update, it might remain perfectly fine and indexed on Bing for a long time.

After 600+ domains deindexed (banned) on Google over the years, I can say that Bing will also eventually stop ranking your website.

Let me explain why. When Bing sees your website getting less traffic over a few months or even a year, you can expect to receive less traffic from Bing as well. They are slower to react compared to Google, especially if the method that got you banned on Google also affects Bing’s search, but eventually, you will start losing rankings there, too.

I’m not saying it’s completely impossible to recover or get unbanned, but it’s extremely difficult.

The best options for you are:

• Start a new website with the same data and quickly redirect the old website to the new one (this sometimes works, sometimes doesn’t), or
• Drop the idea entirely and move on to new projects and new ideas.
