Honestly just run make a category on market place where people can received feedbacks reputations and have an option to use an escrow via web( this should not be a moderator and must be not be a seller in market place).

This has nothing to do with restricting outside contact info...

Congratulations for the change! I am using TG and doing business over it, but I am 100% against scams and, unfortunately, the dispute resolution section is full of that, so yes: that's a huge improvement for our Community.

We wanted to give our Sellers a way to showcase their Sales Threads and for buyers to find a favorite Sellers threads a little quicker!
  • Everyone, regardless of subscription type has these fields on their profiles.
  • While it's meant for sales thread, any BHW thread can be added.
  • Only BHW threads can be added into these fields.
  • Please don't report users who have non-sales threads in the sales thread fields. It's the user's choice if they want to showcase Sales Threads (if they have them) or not.
"While it's meant for sales thread, any BHW thread can be added ."
->
Short question: Can we rent these fields to other people, similar to how we rent the signature space? :anyway: =)

I was about to ask the same. It could be a good opportunity for non upgraded users

Let me get back to you on that tomorrow. I don't see a problem with it, but I'd like to clear it with the team before I say go for it.

I was following the disputes and even thought: If there isn't a rule for contacting people outside the forum, it will be added soon!

I still think the forum's marketplace is very weak, not in terms of visibility and sales, but in terms of sales control. In the past, I mentioned that I had some ideas... including one to create an official BHW platform for sellers to sell their services, a marketplace connected to the forum. Initially, it wouldn't even need to be a complete marketplace, just a gateway to process orders from forum sellers. The idea would be for them to create their services on the platform and include the link in the sales thread, so the buyer would buy with more security and the seller would have access to the order, with a built-in chat, which would avoid the current rule of contacting customers outside the forum. The seller could even mark the service as completed, attach proof, and once the buyer confirms, the money would be released to the seller, similar to what happens with Fiverr.

This is all part of Marketplace 2. There will be more coming out in regards to that as we move through the year.

Yes, when I suggested this in the past, an administrator informed me that they had a similar project underway. My comment wasn't intended to criticize, but rather to suggest something. I believe Marketplace 2.0 will be very good for the community and will give the forum more credibility; I hope to see it soon!

Marketplace 2 is a pipe dream, every year Damien makes a post about marketplace 2 being released and this was even before you were an admin here.

So instead of actually telling feature X is going to be part of Marketplace 2, how about actually releasing it and then adding 27278383 features to it..

Just my 2c.

And it's a good 2c. Luckily, I can tell you that we're getting close to a MVP version. Hopefully we'll be able to start talking about it more soon!

I would like clarification regarding Rule 3.15.
If I place an “Order Now” button in my sales thread that redirects to my Telegram, would this be considered a violation?
Kindly confirm so I can ensure full compliance with the new rule.

Yes.

And what about the order form, like using Jotform or a form on the website? Is that okay?

What if instead of my Telegram or any contact info, I leave my website url in the sales thread? (as a potential future seller)

ANY outside contact info left outside of the 1st post of a sales thread, in a signature, or DM falls under 3.15.

Also to confirm do we also remove the website from the about section of the profile page. I see 5 fields for BST.

But do I also remove an existing website (which is an external link) not sure if these are same as social links.

Thank you
