If an new site is acquiring links very aggressively in the first few months, does it still cause algorithmic pause?
Or is contextual relevance more important than link speed at this point?
Link speed isn’t the problem anymore , it’s the behaviour behind it.
If a brand new site gets a bunch of random, low-quality links all at once, that can still be a problem. But if the links are relevant, from good sources, and make sense (such as after a PR campaign, launch, or great piece of content), then link speed isn’t a problem anymore.
From what I’ve observed, contextual relevance and natural anchor diversity are much more important than link speed at this point. A natural, logical link pattern is better than an aggressive, forced link building campaign.
