Parasite SEO seems to be much less reliable in 2026, as the big platforms have improved their quality control and thus, the best long term investment is in relevant guest posts on sites with actual audiences and quality

It can work but since it's a blackhat method you are going to get ranked at first, then probably flagged if you promote low qualite content.

Many of the previously hit news sites will rebound after a few months. One of OutlookIndia's subdirectories certainly did a while back. These are picking up for casino keywords:
hxxps://sandiegobeer.news/
hxxps://northeasttimes.com/
hxxps://thesunpapers.com/

It might also be useful to mention:

Right now there is a method called parasite SEO, where instead of placing a single article, you размещаете an entire folder or a separate menu section on someone else’s website. This requires direct agreements with site owners.

I had such experience in the gambling niche: we placed a massive folder that contained around 100 articles, internal linking, and full SEO optimization. Essentially, we built an entire website inside another website.

It was expensive - about $100,000 per year. But we managed to scale it, and the traffic reached 20–25K visits per month from the US and Europe.

We’ve been renewing this parasite setup for four years already

Yes, of course. If it weren’t working, we wouldn’t be renewing the placement. Right now, we’re applying this approach on three more sites. One is successful; the other two haven’t delivered the expected results yet, but we’re continuing to work on them.

It’s not like we just launched parasite SEO and left it there. We constantly update the content, optimize SEO, and build a significant number of backlinks. At the moment, our subfolder has more than 5,000 links pointing to it. Of course, many of them are free links from forums and similar platforms, but it still requires substantial resources and ongoing effort.
