When to introduce different IPs

Hello!

I'm looking for advice from those with their finger on the pulse for an uncommon situation. I want to know when it is generally considered safe to introduce signing in from multiple and drastically different, IP addresses to an all-natural reddit account.

I eventually need to give the password to the client so they can access it freely.

I also need to eventually make posts through social rise, which uses API.

From my understanding there is no good time to do this - everything should be done with the proper process of fingerprint and location spoofing. But for this contract, none of that is an option. It is what it is. But either way I know it's possible because I've done all of this with my personal accounts in an organic fashion.

So what the hell do I do? How fast can we speed up the organic process without torpedoing the account? I'd love to hear opinions!

I know, it sucks. but this is the way this one's gonna go.

Me personally, i never allow any OF clients to have access to any accounts since 2023. I literally have a section written in my docusign contracts that explicitly states how all my accounts are proprietary and assets to represent the image and likeness temporarily. If the client moves on from my company/requests I no longer use her image & likeness on her behalf then I can delete all the content from the account and change PFP & banner etc to pivot the accounts to another client or something.

Not only that, but giving your client access to your accounts runs the risk of you just losing your proprietary assets outright. You cant protect your practices entirely, because the client knows what type of content you are requesting and how you are using it by analyzing the accounts, but you can protect the account itself. In 2023 one of my clients hired me for 6 months, noted and learned my practices, allowed me to build up an account to 100k followers, then terminated our agreement and took the account & continued marketing herself entirely copying all my post titles scheduling etc. you definitely need some leverage or these whores will use you as a stepping stone then steal your shit and fire you

Looking at your timeline, 3 months is actually decent for introducing gradual changes. The key is sequencing it properly to avoid stacking risk signals.

Given your constraints, I'd go client phone access first. Have them log in from their US mobile during normal hours (not 3am) and just scroll, maybe upvote a few things. Keep sessions short initially. Wait 4-5 days minimum before adding the API layer.

For the API piece, Social Rise's rotating IPs are actually less suspicious than you think. Reddit sees API traffic from marketing tools constantly. The bigger flag would be if posting patterns suddenly change (frequency, timing, content style) not the IP origin.

One thing that helps: if possible, have the client do a few genuine interactions before any posting starts. Comments, replies to their own posts, normal user behavior. This creates a more believable transition from "lurker occasionally posting" to "active content creator."

The Canada-to-US jump isn't massive compared to some scenarios I've seen work. Your organic foundation should handle it if you don't rush the transitions
