So I made a clean account with a new phone number, registered on a formatted phone and on Mobile connection.
Account created , uploaded a photo, followed some pages, like local news site, not much, a like on a post.
Added the account to Adspower the day after and logged in using a residential proxy, same country as registration.
I got a checkpoint, I approved on mobile, so all good.
Day after I login with adspower, checkpoint and selfie id needed..

is this because I uploaded a picture off someone, because when I upload a picture of a tree , how would they know how to verify me?

But I did all that and still insta ban.
What can be better?

I would like a few accounts for automations as in scanning/extracting content.

Using multiple newly created accounts and fake avatars will almost certainly trigger verification requests. The fastest option is to use aged accounts.

It's highly likely that the issue isn't due to the profile picture, but rather a change in the login environment (device, proxy, browser) causing the system to flag the account as high-risk and require verification.
New accounts are very sensitive in the first few days, so any unusual behavior can lead to a checkpoint or account suspension.
For long-term stability, you should use a real account with real information and avoid sudden changes in the login environment.

Because you logged in from two different addresses, Facebook needs to verify if you are the real user.

The issue isn’t just the photo.

What likely triggered it is the environment change and behavior pattern, not whether you uploaded a tree or someone’s face.
That’s a massive environmental shift. Even if the proxy is same country, the device fingerprint alone is enough to spike the risk score. Facebook tracks way more than IP, browser entropy, canvas fingerprint, WebGL, timezone consistency, device model patterns, session history, etc.

The first checkpoint was probably a soft trust test.
The second one (selfie ID) means the system classified the account as high risk.

Facebook aggressively blocks anything that looks like farming accounts for automation or scraping. Even if your intent is mild, their system is designed to assume abuse.

If you have laptop or pc, You can use adspower for others Profile on defferent account.
you can archive must better result.

You might want to maintain the configuration steady for a longer time, avoid changing the environment too often, and let the account age naturally before adding tools or automation. It's usually the sudden changes in activity that raise red signals, not the profile picture itself.

I use to manage multiple accounts dolphin anty and mobile proxies and so far is working good for me. Tou can try this setup

The issue isn't just the profile picture; switching from a new mobile account to AdsPower via proxy is a major risk signal for Facebook. Creating a new account requires time, stability, and natural activity to avoid detection.

Don’t login from 2 environments in first week.

Your new account is very weak, and you logged in from two different addresses, which led to Facebook locking it.

Ok, yeah I had some success before and got banned after like 1 year + because yeah I was posting on a bunch off pages and did nothing else with it.

- But making an account on 4G should work on a clean phone if I keep the account a few weeks on the phone?
- Could I create more than 1 account on a mobile (no wifi) on a clean phone? with only email or do you get insta checkpoints?

Otherwise I might get me some aged ones. It's just for some automation project I work on, it will scroll and extract data ect ect

Imo, Keeping an account longer on one device can help, but automation patterns will still get flagged eventually.

Aged accounts better and last longer

From what you described, it’s not just about the profile photo. The bigger issue is behavior pattern + environment mismatch. New account → very light activity → sudden login from anti-detect browser + proxy = high risk signal. Even if proxy is same country, device fingerprint change is a red flag.
Meta tracks device consistency, session history, and behavioral trust over time. If you plan to use accounts for automation, they need longer warm-up, stable device profile, and very gradual activity. Jumping too fast into tools usually triggers checkpoints.
Trying to scale fresh accounts quickly in 2026 is much harder than before.

You don't need to register accounts yourself, just buy them and that's it, because if you register them yourself, Facebook will constantly block them.

Facebook views dual-location logins as an unauthorized breach. Moving a 'fresh' mobile account to a proxy-based environment like AdsPower is a major red flag. You can't rush the process; stability and real engagement are mandatory to stay under the radar of Facebook’s automated sweeps.

the bans are likely triggered by behavior patterns , not just the photo the only stable path is using a real identity

I believe it's because you created your account normally and then changed the IP with adspower and a residential proxy. These might have triggered an IP flag. Try creating a new account on a new proxy and see if the problem persists.

Frequent device and IP changes (mobile → Adspower → residential proxy) are a major risk signal, especially on new accounts.
Checkpoints and selfie verification usually trigger from suspicious login patterns, not just the profile photo itself.
Using someone else’s photo can increase risk, but behavioral inconsistency is often the bigger issue.
Accounts built for automation and scraping tend to get flagged quickly — stable, single-device usage and gradual activity are much safer.
