I’ve noticed some people can’t focus without music, while others need complete silence to get anything done. What works best for you and why?
I have ADHD and I'm very familiar with the issue of staying focused. My short answer is "it depends", mostly on the task at hand and my current mood and energy level. I listen to electronic music with a cerebral beat when doing intellectual work. When I work instead on physical tasks or when my energy is low, I listen to hard rock or heavy metal. When it's time to sleep, I prefer complete silenceI’ve noticed some people can’t focus without music, while others need complete silence to get anything done. What works best for you and why?
Same with me. Music with lyrics distract me. Instrumental music works for me. When I need to unstress, a female vocalist with a soothing voice is perfect for meI personally prefer to work in silence. It helps me concentrate better and think more clearly without any distractions. When it’s quiet, I can fully focus on the task and stay productive for longer periods. Music can sometimes divide my attention, especially if it has lyrics, so silence just works best for me.
I usually use both. It depends on the mood and the work if intensive work is going on seriosly silence would be prefered & if i am in an Chill mood would play on some music.I’ve noticed some people can’t focus without music, while others need complete silence to get anything done.
