Who is actually "Ignoring" DMCA in 2026?

Most of the "Offshore" providers I’ve used lately are folding the second they get a sternly worded email from a lawyer. If you aren't hosting in a bunker in Iceland or a specific Russian DC, are you even safe? Looking for real experiences, not affiliate links.

What actually matters isn’t the country on paper, it’s the provider’s policy + upstream tolerance + how they handle complaints. So location helps for identifying law area, but operator mindset matters far more than geography.

So server physically should be outside of EU, USA and CIS jurisdictions of course but not really needed to be a secret bunker. Provider's policy is matters.

Sooner or later every host going to fold. Just use the one with crypto payments and hide behind reverse proxies to delay the take downs. Run on multiple location if you are big in warez and copyright stuff. Its not easy to run copyright related stuff nowadays. So unless you are making good money with your site, its waste of time and resources.

Once you set it up it pretty much runs itself.
The tunnel stays up unless you reboot, and even then it's a 2 min fix.

Way more stable than constantly migrating between hosts every time someone sends a takedown.

Great advice here - if you can get one of BuyVM's Lux servers that is. They go quickly!

A couple of others I've used over time for various projects and never had any issues: DMZHOST, KODDOS, Private Layer, SpectralP (similar to BuyVM - recommend their VPS'). Still no issues on my end with V-SYS, but I'd wary with them given the ongoing lawsuit against them.

Like the earlier comment, the provider's policies matter the most. There are only a few hosts/registrars who prioritise the domain owner instead of buckling under one abuse report. A very rare strategy I noticed was with a web host I tried who was established in three jurisdictions and only took action when they received a court order from all 3 jurisdictions simultaneously, making it harder to take down a domain/website.

yeah that setup is pretty stable once it's running. i usually throw a cheap reverse proxy in moldova or romania in front of the tunnel... just to add another layer that lawyers won't bother trying to crack.
