Reddit Advertising

Hi everyone

I am curious if somebody could share any tips that you have regarding Reddit advertising (Not really Reddit ADS, but manually placed posts and comments).

Currently I have a few posts where I wish my comment to be placed higher. it seems that the number of upvotes alone is not sufficient to rank the comment to be the first one.

To be mentioned is that these threads are 20+ days old, so maybe that is why? From one account if I place a comment, no matter the upvotes, the comment will be placed higher than on my secondary account.. and I don't understand why. Both of my accounts are aged with a few Karma..

Hmm I understand. I meant organic comments. Sorry, but what do you mea better quality upvotes to rank? The upvotes I've placed did not get my comment removed or any penalty, so I guess their quality is good? Could you share your source of quality upvotes where do you get them?

Yeah but eve normal/manual advertising with upvotes sucks. Both.

I'm more referring to posting comments where I know there is traffic. I simply want to get my comment to be among the "best" comments

The way is to create some history in the subreddit in which your target posts are live. Also don't mention the direct brand name in the comment instead mention it naturally and more organically.
Start giving the upvotes to the comment after 2 or 3 days of it getting publish. Don't comment from the same account on all the posts.

Old threads are much harder to move because early comments get priority and age matters a lot. Upvotes help, but timing and account trust/karma in that specific subreddit play a bigger role.

The best strategy is to comment early on fresh posts, not 20-day-old ones.

But that's the issue: with my main account the very same upvotes were sending the comments more to the top, but on this secondary account the very same upvotes are not placing the comment that much to the top

The thing is the fact that this specific post appears on page 1 on my keyword.. That is why I target this specific post

I've came to the conclusion that I might need some more history in that specific subreddit
