The market is kinda good rn, BTC around 68k and I've seen some random bounces on alts.., H, PI are few tokens doing well rn, but the Feb 6the crypto crash was one of the deadliest though, almost everyone with leveraged positions got hit, even me I got stopped out

But I didn't really feel it thanks to vip Privileges Via Bitget westay that affords me the luxury of earning 6% APR in few days, that way i can recover.. I guess the reason why I'm writing this is to ask if it's okay for platforms to compensate users after such crash?.

A coin crashing is a normal occurrence, so there is no reason for compensation. At times like this, when the market is unstable, investors should wait in order to avoid losing money.

Binance compensated users in a previous incident, but some other platforms did not, and I was unlucky :)

6% APR in a few days? What do you mean by that?

Binance has done it once. But they will not do it every time. They are running a business. Not some charity.

yes, platforms can compensate users after a crash, but it’s almost always a marketing / retention move, not an obligation, especially when losses come from leverage and user decisions. In the case of Bitget and similar programs, I’d treat any “recovery” perks as a nice bonus, not a risk-management plan, because the real protection is still position sizing and leverage discipline, not post-crash incentives

The point about position sizing and leverage discipline is crucial, as I've seen many accounts get wiped out due to over-leveraging, even with 6% APR perks like the one offered by Bitget. In my own trading, I limit leverage to 2x and maintain a strict stop-loss, which has helped me survive several market downturns. Additionally, diversifying across multiple platforms, such as Binance and Bitget, can also help mitigate losses in the event of a crash, and I've found that spreading my investments across 3-4 platforms reduces my overall risk by around 25%.

You'll find all details here. https://www.bitget.com/support/articles/12560603850400. Requirements, process and how long it runs. It's a simple read.
Thanks for the tip. This looks interesting!

Why don't you use hard wallets instead of 4 crypto exchanges?
