Facebook is where Baby Boomers go to die and 3rd world nations come to scam them.

And AI.... Is NOT a selling point. The overwhelming majority of people absolutly LOATHE A.I.
(It's really bad for business)

As for the creators it's going to be pump and dump again. Today they'll pay you a $1 but tomorrow they'll pay you $0.05

Create your own site, upload your own content and monetize it yourself.

Facebook's interface may be clunky, but its AI-powered content distribution capabilities are powerful, with reach depending on behavioral signals; therefore, a reliable account and consistent spending are essential to optimize ROI and business growth.

Fair points, especially about creator payouts and platform risk. That said, Facebook still works well as a top-of-funnel tool, even if monetization should live elsewhere.

Agreed. Once an account builds reliability through steady spending, the AI does the heavy lifting for reach and growth.

I respectfully disagree.
Facebook only works well when you're selling Depends diapers to the boomers.
The platform has largely been abandoned by Americans and Western Europeans who are under 60 yrs old.

It's only maintaining its hegmony because it's one of the propaganda arms for the United States and males in 3rd world nations who use it to make a little bit of money and find girlfriends.

Traffic from it is among the worst of the Internet.
The only creators who earn money are those who steal and re-use someone else's contet;

imo, AI feed and subscriptions are the big ones., more control over reach and real monetization is good, but losing old engagement signals is a bit scary. feels like FB is forcing everyone to adapt fast or get left behind

Totally agree — the interface might feel outdated, but the AI-driven reach makes consistent spending and a trusted account well worth it.

Interesting take. While the platform has challenges and a specific user base, many creators and businesses are still seeing measurable results when they focus on the right strategy.

Exactly — AI feeds and subscriptions are game-changers, but losing old engagement signals does make adaptation tricky. Fast movers will definitely benefit most.

The AI-powered feed is the most exciting part, since it could dramatically improve content discovery.
Monetization tools for creators and small businesses also look promising for long-term growth.
I’m slightly concerned about engagement shifts after removing old plugins.
Overall, these updates could redefine how brands compete for attention on Facebook.

I don't know it doesn't seem to have changed so much for me. I mean nowdays I'm only using it for my personal use.

I think it's interesting to see the varying perspectives on Facebook's current state and future potential. While some argue that the platform is outdated and only effective for specific demographics, others are seeing real results with the right strategy. Agatha40's point about 2026 shaking things up is particularly intriguing - do you think the upcoming changes will be enough to win back younger users and increase overall engagement, or will Facebook continue to cater primarily to its existing user base?much

Exactly. AI-driven content and new monetization options could really level the playing field, but brands will need to adapt quickly to maintain engagement after old plugins are gone.
The future is unpredictable, but we can only hope for the best.
Exactly — staying flexible and keeping an eye on trends is the best way to navigate the uncertainty.

Makes sense — for personal use, Facebook can feel mostly the same, even with all the backend changes.

Exactly — it’s interesting to see the split. I think the 2026 updates, especially AI-driven feeds and monetization tools, could attract younger users, but Facebook will likely still rely heavily on its core base.

please help me , I am going to run meta ad for wifi brand and this is my first time to run ad for any brand so please tell me that, what strategy i should to use ?

the hype is real because facebook is moving away from the old "friends" model to an ai-driven discovery engine where your feed is shaped by your chats with meta ai.

I can see the ads and shopping updates being really useful. Facebook still has a massive audience, so for selling stuff it’s hard to beat. AI feeds sound cool in theory, but not sure if it’ll really get rid of all the noise. Honestly, feels like X is moving faster in terms of engagement trends, so Facebook might have to step up to keep up.

Start with a targeted campaign: focus on your ideal audience (location, age, interests), use eye-catching creatives, and set a small budget to test what works before scaling.

That’s the real shift. When chats with Meta AI start influencing discovery, Facebook becomes more of a recommendation engine than a social network.

Totally get that. Ads and shopping are strong, but engagement innovation is where Facebook needs to prove itself — especially if X keeps pushing faster trends.
has anyone heard about the whole mess with FB ads?
Yeah, there’s been talk about ad performance fluctuations and algorithm changes — it’d be great to hear what everyone else is experiencing.

AI feeds and better monetization sound great in theory. More relevant content + easier income is a win.

What worries me is over-automation. If everything becomes AI-optimized, organic reach might get even tighter.

Curious to see how it actually plays out vs the hype.

AI-powered feeds excite me most if they truly improve relevance. I’m slightly worried about engagement changes with legacy tools retiring on Facebook.

Something I don't see discussed much here because BHW skews US/EU — Facebook is NOT dead in Latin America. Not even close.

I work with clients in Mexico and the usage patterns are completely different from what you read in US-focused marketing blogs:

- Facebook Groups are the #1 community platform. Every city, neighborhood, and interest group has active FB groups with thousands of members. This is where local conversations happen, not Reddit, not Discord.

- Facebook Marketplace is the default for local commerce. MercadoLibre handles big e-commerce, but for everyday buy/sell, it's all FB Marketplace.

- Political and news engagement happens primarily on Facebook. Twitter/X is used by journalists and politicians but the mass audience engagement is on FB.

- Instagram is growing fast but it's concentrated in urban areas and younger demographics (18-30). For reaching adults 35+ in Mexico, Facebook is still king.

The irony is that SMM panels have way more Instagram servicesthan Facebook ones. Finding quality Facebook page likes or group members from actual Latin American accounts is almost impossible through standard panels. I've tested JAP, Peakerr, and 1Popularity for Facebook services and the quality gapcompared to their Instagram offerings is massive.
