Making $0 -$300 a day with pop traffic

I just started there. For now, bots are up to 2%. But I don’t think traffic from there would fit what you’re doing. I think for Google AdSense to count a viewer, they have to interact with the website. Pop-under traffic comes and goes if nothing grabs their attention.
Bro, this is really a good result, please keep updating this thread. I am very curious about the ROI results provided by the Adsterra network

Hey guys — I feel like I might’ve uncovered a $1M opportunity, and I want to sanity-check it with people who actually understand traffic.

Here’s the situation.

Pop traffic is everywhere. You can buy millions of pop impressions from almost any GEO for dirt cheap. The problem?
It’s trash for conversions. People don’t click, don’t care, and don’t convert. They just get redirected and bounce.

I tested tons of affiliate offers, and almost none of them worked. That made me realize something important:
the issue isn’t the volume — it’s the intent and quality.

So instead of trying to convert pop traffic, I started thinking differently:

What if the real play isn’t affiliate marketing… but traffic arbitrage?

Buying pop traffic from one network and reselling or redirecting it to another network where it pays better.

A few people talk about this, but not many go deep. In theory, you spend $1 and make $1 (or slightly more) in almost real time. The hard part is finding the right combinations and managing the volatility — because rates go up and down constantly.

I’ve tested this before:

  • Once, I spent $1 on Japan traffic and made $5 almost instantly. That feeling was insane.
  • Another time, I was consistently making ~30% ROI on a tiny budget ($20/day), but I stopped because back then I was making way more money with other traffic services.

Looking back, that might’ve been a mistake.

Now I’m seriously considering spending my last $500 to test this properly and build something real:

  • An engine that buys traffic from cheap sources
  • Distributes it across multiple networks
  • Routes traffic in real time to wherever it pays best
  • Runs 24/7, automatically

I’m almost sure someone has done this before — but if it’s done right, it feels like a gold mine.

Some traffic sources are literally 5x cheaper than others. Yes, quality varies, but if you’re not trying to convert — just redistribute — quality matters differently.

The real challenge is:

  • Managing it in real time so you don’t bleed money
  • Handling volatility (there’s no constant — it’s always changing)
  • Automating decisions fast enough

Right now, I’m using a tracker locally and experimenting with multiple networks, but it still feels messy and manual. I know AI, automation, n8n, etc. could help — I just don’t fully know how to structure it yet.

I’ve got this strong gut feeling — that “Twitter intuition” — that this could be the next big thing for me, especially as affiliate marketing keeps getting more unpredictable and data-opaque.

So I want to ask the people here who’ve been around traffic longer than me:

Questions

  1. Where are the best places to buy cheap pop traffic right now?
  2. Which networks are best for selling or monetizing redistributed traffic?
  3. How do you manage real-time arbitrage without getting wrecked by fluctuations?
  4. Is there any software or platform built specifically for traffic arbitrage?
  5. Has anyone successfully automated this with AI, rules engines, or n8n?
  6. What mistakes should I absolutely avoid when testing this?
  7. Can you recommend anything to read, study, or watch on this topic?
  8. Has anyone here actually scaled pop traffic arbitrage — and if so, what broke first?

Appreciate any insight. Even a small push in the right direction could save me months.

so, what`s the progress with adsterra
Hey, I was focused on PopAds. Adsterra is more expensive, but it has automation like auto-blacklist, which is very helpful. The traffic there is also pop-under; it's dirty, cheap, and of bad quality. It seems like it has fewer bots, but to optimize it for profit, you have to work very hard.

i like your adsterra experiment answer, i might try something soon with adstera too

Interesting, let me know if it would work. I am gonna try traffic arbitrage between pop-under networks and optimize for conversions some offers.

I spent $140k on https://www.popads.net It actually worked on autopilot for a while. I really didn't spend more than 30 minutes a day managing my ads and it converted quite well. But then it failed.
Anyway I did like it.

Across different compaigns ROI was 30% - 200%.
Now I am going to rebuild $300 a day. Hopefully it won't take a lot of time.

Before, I used to promote push subs and adult dating/cams, but that is over.
So, I think to try Sweepstakes, maybe loans, and anything I'll find on spy services.

Because popads has lots of bots (known fact) and an outdated interface, zero automation, I'll also try Adsterra.
The plan is to spy, test, and scale what works.

Now I am trying to make a free tracker with clickervolt, But if that won't work I would stick with Binom (seems like the fastest tracker).

If anybody has any suggestions please go ahead.
This is a great article. I'm following your instructions.
Please keep updating regularly!

If pop traffic is bot-heavy, wouldn’t reselling it just get you banned sooner or later?
I tested smartlinks with pops before. Results were bad, and even after whitelisting i only managed to break even.

If you won’t filter it, yeah. But out of $140k spent, I was only charged for fraud once, for about $700. That’s less than 0.5%. The good thing was that I didn’t spend much time on management, and once the offer died, it stopped. Now I just want to find a way to make the show work.

Still, I remember a few networks banning me even though I tried to keep my traffic clean. The reality is that bots exist, whether you like it or not. You can filter them or use other traffic sources altogether. I’m not saying pop-under is the best traffic—you should stick with what works for you.

you missed something important , who will buy your traffic ???
most of networks now in pop arbitrage will close your account when you send traffic to them

This is the main point, man.

Even if you filter bots, vpn? Optimize by placement? Have you tried this? How many networks did you test it and what kind of tracking did you use? I would be really grateful if you'd share your experience.

even i used adscore for flirting they know that i do arbitrage , i sold traffic to adsterra , popcash , i highly recommend to read Trustpilot reviews for every network

Thanks. You just saved me from disaster. I wanted to trade between networks with horrible reviews, but it seems that it is a standard in this industry.

Have you tried getting into FB -> Adsense arbitrage?
No, I actually do not know how it works. Can you recommend me a guide or something? I would really appreciate it. I thought to try to promote CPA or Gambling offers on facebook but FB -> Adsense arbitrage is like a different game.

Hey brother, currently in similar predicament. I did make bank last time from pops, gambling on fb, and now back to pop again for less account banning headache. FB/Adsense arbitrage is kinda like buzzfeed model where you run clickbaity ads to your article hoping they click your ads.
