Hi guys, hope you are doing well.

I am currently working for an SEO agency based in US. Before that I tried to learn SEO on my own doing small personal projects. I quickly realized how much better it would have been if I would have started my career first as an intern, then specialist, senior and then starting my own projects.

It feels like I started it backwards and wasted a ton of time versus working for a company where all trainings are available for you to improve a lot faster.

What about you? How did you start you digital marketing career? Hope you can provide insightful answers.

I started my career as a programmer, then I worked in advertising, video creation, SEO, real estate, support, product management, recruitment, my own business...I can't even remember exactly how many different kinds of jobs I've had anymore. :))))

I was expecting this kind of answer. It seems many people here transitioned from programming or other professions to marketing.

I am curious about this path. Did you have to learn everything about marketing on your own or did the company that you worked provided training for you?

My first job was installing cameras but I had some knowledge about web design and graphic . They hired my as a web master but I have been doing almost everything related to computer.

After 10 years I'm working on my own projects

Would it be correct to say that during this time you worked for other companies, most of them were in B2C?

I taught myself everything and quit my job at the company once I had made money online.
