heya i buy and sell seo expired domains lately i decide to start testing if some of my domains are approved on google news pre 2019 i started with 4 domains two of them started indexing in the news tab but only when using a very specific parameter the time to index is between 1 to 2 hours max one of them requires manual url submission to GSC and the other doesn't is there anymore tests i can do to be sure ?

I would say to let the domains get older by posting clean, news-style content on a regular basis and then see how they index naturally without any forced settings or manual submissions. Also, before making any decisions, keep an eye on the long-term stability of the News tab over the course of several weeks, not just the speed of initial indexing.

so the idea is to warm them up ?

Hello @noneisnone,

The site: operator often gives false positives for the old News edition. The only reliable test is to publish a piece of trending news content and search for the exact headline in the News tab without the site operator. If it appears there naturally within 15 minutes without manual indexing, then the domain still holds its legacy approval.
here is the thing it actually does on one of the domains but am not sure about 15 minutes first article took an hour or so second took less but not 15 minutes is it a matter of warming the domain back up ?

I'm willing to pay if someone is willing to guide me here.

Keep testing by posting different content and monitoring indexing times. Use NewsArticle markup, update sitemaps, and compare domains to see which factors affect Google News approval and speed.

If they’re hitting the news tab with fresh timestamps, that’s already a strong indicator. I’d also check how they handle rapid updates and whether multiple articles index consistently without manual submits. Stability matters more than one-off wins.

You’re not alone SERPs are heavily consolidated right now. What’s worked for me is targeting angles the big sites don’t bother covering and building topical depth. You won’t outrank giants on broad terms, but you can still win on intent-specific queries where they’re shallow.

Bro, some domains index fast, some need manual submit, keep testing, nothing guaranteed.
