I have a dot com that is 11 years old with 40 backlinks. Is that worth anything?

$1-1million. Seriously dude, its worth what someone is willing to pay for it. How are we to know what that someone is willing to pay for it? These threads suck.

My experience tells that domain's age can make a big difference.

Sell it for good money or keep it and monetize it! Do not waste it.

Look to sell it to a Job Placement or Temp agency in the UK

If you can find the right buyer, you could get a couple hundred for it. But that's a big if.

Seems like when you have a great domain, you have no buyer, and when you need a great domain, you can't find a seller! LOL

Good luck with it.

You can always get a paid appraisal done if you are really serious about selling the domain.Search in google and you will get lots of good websites

Where Is the best place to sell or auction a domain? It's something that I
have no experience of and I've been asked to find a buyer for a three letter
domain.

Try a site (auction site from UK) maybe;)

Old domains are great.. Go for the user who'll offer you a serious price to offload.

please don't pay good money for somebody to tell you your domain is worthless.....

it doesn't matter if the domain is 5, 10, or 15 years old.....

How much would you pay for a name that

#1. is undeveloped
#2. has only a handful of backlinks
#3. gets zero traffic
#4. has not been monetized
#5. is a keyword domain that gets few monthly queries
#6 has zero pr.

my guess is that the owner has paid more than it's worth...if you sold the name at reg value, you would have lost money

so, develop the name some how, do some seo, get some links out, try and monetize the site somehow (adsense, selling ad space, cpa, digital product) and *maybe* the domain will be worth $$$ in the next ten years...

other wise, you can try to list the domain name on sedo and see how much pple are willing to pay for it, or just let the name drop,

You can get a free appraisal from one of those famous domainor forums. There are 2 big domain forums. To sell domains there is Zedo but they take a big cut. flippa take $20 list a domain/site.
