PBN Accidental Similar IP

I'm starting a PBN for my own money site. I have 3 domains and 3 different hosts for each domain.

However, I just noticed that two of the hosts have data centers in Virginia, and my IP address matches for the first three octets.

Will this be a footprint issue if 2 of my domains have similar IPs?

Same first three octets alone is common. Issue comes when you stack more footprints like same CMS themes or analytics.

Two sites wont kill you if everything else is clean.

Even partial IP overlap can create a footprint, so if you’re concerned about risk, using fully separate IP ranges or reputable hosting providers reduces the chance of detection.

For just 3 sites, a Class C overlap isn't a dealbreaker. To be safe, ensure the DNS providers and WHOIS info are different. That usually offsets the risk of similar IP ranges.

No, as its only 2 sites its not a major footprint issue. But make sure the factors like hosting accounts, content, themes and others are not same. If the quantity of link increases you have to take some action to avoid creating serious risk.

Are you sure they are from different hosts? One could be another one's reseller, then. If they are from the same /24, then it's definitely a single company. While it is not the worst thing that could happen, it would always be best to have at least one different /24 (or C class) for your IPs, ideally from different locations, even if they are from the same company. The key here is diversity and you want everything as diverse as possible.

for 2 or 3 sites a Class C overlap is a total nothingburger .. google sees way more coincidences than that every day
the real danger is stacking this with other technical footprints . check ur start of authority records and nameservers
i’ve seen clusters get nuked not because of the IP , but because they all used the same white-label nameserver pattern or shared a unique recovery email in the WHOIS
if u want to be safe , put one site behind Cloudflare , one on Bunny DNS , and leave the third on a raw IP . this breaks the server cluster signal completely even if the underlying IP is similar . also , make sure ur Nginx headers aren't identical ( versions , timestamps etc ) .. google’s crawling is sophisticated enough to cluster nodes by technical signatures now

Having similar IPs, especially the same first three octets, can be a footprint risk for PBNs. It doesn’t always cause problems, but it increases detection chances. It’s safer to use different hosting providers and unique IP ranges.

Having 2 domains on IPs that share the first three octets or are located in the same data center (Virginia) is very common and not a strong signal by itself.

Google expects many legitimate sites to be hosted this way.

A footprint becomes risky only when multiple signals stack together.

Big footprint. Never use both on same network.
