I just posted a thread in the “Hire a Freelancer” section. After only 1 minute, I got 13 comments on the thread, which is really, really bizarre!

It’s always crazy... you would literally see Page 3 in a matter of minutes : D

On BHW, time works differently.
1 minute = 13 freelancers, 2 PMs, and 5 “check inbox” messages

It's very possible that it is. I've noticed a similar style in the creators of new accounts. That they all have roughly the same sentence structure.

They don't kind of answer the thread starter's question, but they answer with a broader picture. And somehow they use the messages of previous commenters to kind of recreate the comments of others and then send it as a new answer. I mean, formatted

It’s quite normal for that section. Most active freelancers use RSS feeds or custom notification bots to monitor new leads in real-time. Since 'Hire a Freelancer' is highly competitive, they have templates ready to post within seconds.

Topics like this don't help the community, nor the staff. Reporting bots does. Barring a couple of contributors to this thread, none of you do this. Getting into the habit of doing so helps everyone, so please consider spending your time doing that rather than creating topics like this one.

If you're creating a HAF thread (this goes for JV and WTB, too), make it clear in your thread that you won't accept any responses from members who post like a robot or are auto-generating replies. Then everyone knows where they stand.
