Effectvely targeting non-english is hell !

Contrary to whatever bullshit lies that FB, X/twitter, Tiktok and Reddit say...
Non-Anglophones (Non-english) are hell to tarket on social media.

I'm Italian and sure most people have social media accounts but it's estimated that over 80% might access them once every 6 months. Personally, I think that number is close to 95% and 99% of us forget we have any social media accounts after a year.

So, I'm working on a project that involves the French.
My choices are : Doctissimo, Aufeminin and Forumactif.

Doctissimo and Aufeminin are censorship absurd ! So, being subtle and discreet is ultra important.

Forumactif is the last of the old free message board platforms. But most of the forums are abandoned and the few which are still alive are operated by boomers. Unfortunately, it's often impossible to be subtle with boomers who literally prefer their forums die before someone can post a link.

French forums are still polite and manageable.

Try it on German forums and you will be educated and reprimanded right from your first post.

This may be frustrating, but it also presents opportunities. Once you have survived the first few lessons, you will be welcomed into the community and can use it to your advantage.

I hope that I can find different French Platforms because the ones that I'm on suck

You may want to ask AI to suggest you a list of relevant forums.

I'm running some forums myself and am also a heavy user of XRumer on the other hand.

Start slowly once registered. Just read posts for the very first days, then start to interact by commenting other posts. No sales language, no links. Try to be shy but interested and helpful.

AI is useless. In fact it's more useless than straight up google.

I directly ask for French social media and it gives me Facebook, etc.
So I then ask to factor out Facebook, etc... It then gives me links to platforms and sites that died back in Covid.

This is a slug fight to find places to directly target the French.

Be more specific on your prompt then.

I recently re-launched a website targeting the French speaking Geneva area in Switzerland. No issues to find language and topic relevant forums using this approach.

Other than that, you can use the typical forum footprints on search engines.
